ugh, I just got an reply email from them and they said they no longer carry it. I really need to find one, any other suggestions?

Dreamer said they use the one from Indigo. I've never smelled theirs so I can't say how good it is. NG has one too. I see that Bulk has one and so does WSP but the one from WSP is pretty expensive.  I wish I was more help. Sorry. I hope you can find a good one.

Belinda, thanks for your answer! Do you think that big brands, for example like Diptyque and Le Labo get their oils from those suppliers?

I don't really know but I would think they would have to use at least some of the same suppliers. I know that some suppliers have the exact same scents as major candle companies such as Bath & Body Works, Yankee, Scentsy (not candles but melts) etc. and what I've used from suppliers that smell like some scents these companies offer are always pretty much spot on and smell just as strong. I'm not familiar with the ones you mentioned so I can't say how their candles smell.

  3. You're going to find great FO's and some not so great from every supplier. Candle Science, Fragrance Buddy, Flaming, Rustic, Aztec, Lone Star, Just Scent, Texas Candle Supply, Daystar, and several others all have good scents and some that are duds.

I don't know anything about essential oils so I can't help you there.

Dough ornaments. I have baked and honestly had many puff up and get ruined. If you do use an oven heat it up, turn off oven the put in ornaments overnight. My favorite ones are made with cinnamon and elmers glue, and or apple sauce! The scent lasts for ever and easy to make.

Can you share your recipe for these? I say every year I'm going to make them and buy the stuff but never get around to doing it.

I was looking at dough ornament recipes and i would like to scent them with fragrance oils,  but a lot of recipes calls for essential oils. Can i make them with fo's instead? ..And i know you can bake or air dry them, if i did bake them would the oven forever smell like fo?

I don’t know about making them with FO but I do make aroma bead fresheners with FO and bake them in my oven and never smell anything.

I haven't smelled Peak's lemon pound cake.  Have you tried BCS Lemon pound cake?  Lordie, lordie it's so good.  Now, I feel like I need to smell Peak's version!

I"ve tried their lemon cheesecake and didn't care for it and Bitter Creek South's pound cake when they were in business and didn't like it either. I love Peak's version of lemon pound cake and American Soy Organics lemon cheesecake. They're just sweeter to my nose. That' s just me though. I know Trapp loved BCN lemon cheesecake so I sent her my bottle.

I don't order from The Candle Source or Texas Candle Supply so I can't say about them.  Maybe they all get their oils from the same company.  Yes, I do feel it is lighter but then I have always had a problem with leather being too light for my liking.  I mixed up a fresh batch today of room sprays to make sure and it did the same thing.  Very heavy and separated. In fact, as I am pouring the fo, I can tell it is too heavy.  I use Polysorbate 20 with it and have never had a problem.  Mixed up another batch of a different fragrance oil to make sure I just wasn't losing my mind and it is normal.  I think I am going to call Lone Star on Monday.  I had ordered 6 ~ 16 oz bottles and have been thru now the 4th one.  All the same story.

Let us know what you find out please. I have a brand new bottle but I haven't opened it yet. I may try to do that and see how it is.

I use it to make room sprays and it is usually my number one seller.  I noticed that it keeps separating and is too heavy to spray.  There is definitely something going on.

Have  you noticed a change in the strength? Maybe we should all contact LS and ask what's going on. We surely can't be the only ones that have noticed. I've noticed the one from Texas Candle Supply being different too and also the one from The Candle Source. That's the first one I really noticed smelling different but I noticed Texas smelling light first. I thought it was just me.

Stacy's sweet pumpkin is amazing!!  I thought I would never find another pumpkin scent that I liked more than BCN Pumpkin Pie Closeout until I smelled this.  You will not be sorry to give this a go.  Another fantastic Pumpkin scent is Enchanted Lites Pumpkin Pie, it smells like a real pumpkin pie in the oven.

I'll defiantly have to try those! Thanks!

Where do you get the Enchanted Lites oils?

What does aspen winter smell like?

It smells like Heaven! 😇  For real, it's an amazing Winter scent.  Here are the fragrance notes/description:  A fabulously festive combination of Bay Leaf, Fresh Pine, Red Cinnamon and warm winter woodsy notes combined with hints of holiday fruits.  I would be more than happy to send you a sniffie.  It really is a wonderful scent.

I thought Tri-state went out of business?

I'm only a few miles from Stacy so is her sweet pumpkin really good? I wish she had more oils to choose from but what I have from her is really good OOB.

Thanks for the replies!  Do both fragrances (the bourbon butterscotch and butterscotch pudding) require a long cure?  By "long" I mean 1+ weeks.  I need something strong and potent enough to be ready for my customers within 2-3 days of pouring.  :)

Butterscotch pudding from CW is a strong FO in my opinion so I wouldn't think it would need a long cure at all.

I love Peaks Warm Apple Pie and now get it at Keystone. You get the apples, crust, and spice all wrapped up in a fresh hot from the oven mom's apple pie scent. To me its perfect.

That's one I haven't tried. I may have to give it a whirl! Not like I NEED another apple scent mind you but you know how it goes LOL!

Thanks, Belinda.  I've purchased some 4630 and have tried a 50/50 and 60/40 (60% 4630} so far.  Not sure how I feel about it...I was able to get the melt point down low enough for the melters with the  60/40  mix but they don't want to pop out of the clamshells.  I'll give it a try with some silicon molds.

I have a terrible time getting certain wax blends to pop out too. The one that does the easiest is either KY para/soy tart wax or The Candle Source tart wax which I love but shipping is too high to me. It's all paraffin and pops out great. When I blend 4794 with KY it pops out and also 4625/6006 pops out really nice. I do have a hard time when I use 4630 in the mix though. I'm not sure why that is.

That's good to hear.  I've read some good things about the 133 on these forums.  If I can't find a taker for the 143 I'll try mixing it with some of the other waxes when I've got some down time (whenever that might be).  :)

Mix the 143 with a container wax to make it softer for clams. I've used it before and have always liked it. If you don't have any container wax then use it for shapes if you have some molds.

Has anyone tried making onries in silicone molds? I thought I read about it on here before but I  cant find it now. Dont want to ruin my silicone molds if it's been tried and doesnt work. But if it does do you bake then at 350 also? Any help much appreciated!

I've been curious about the same thing! I would think you would bake it the same way as in the cutters and just let it get hard in the mold before you take it out. Let me know if you find the post or try this please. Thank you!
