  1. I've recently poured Cinnamon from Peak (now Keystone) and it's a good cinnamon. I also like cinnamon broom from FB a lot. Also, Cinnamon crunch cake from JS is really good and strong. I don't get bakery notes that much but it does have a lot of cinnamon. I also have cinnamon red hots from NG and I think cinnamon from Cajun and some from CS. I guess I need to compare!

Belinda, it doesn't smell like VBN or Mrs Claus Cookies.  It's a really nice strong vanilla bean scent with no bakery (cake) notes but it is sweet and strong.  It's awesome!  I like BC Vanilla Bean but JS Southern Style Vanilla is my favorite....it's a dupe of Ms. Randy's Vanilla bean.

    Thank you!

  4. JS has some good coffee scents and so does ICS.

I love Snickers Coffee, Caramel Cinnamon Latte, Coffee and Ice Cream from JS.

I also love French Vanilla Latte and Brazilian Coffee and Pure Cane from Aztec.

Snickerdoodle Latte from NG is also good.

If I'm not mistaken Hazelnut coffee from ICS is also good but I can't really remember.

    A couple of ways:

    1) Poke the stick part of the pin through the hole from the outside. Secure with tape or putty to prevent leaks. Make sure to use lots of candle release spray to allow the stem to release.

    2) inside the mold like a votive candle. Seal the hole. Set the pin inside the bottom carefully and pour the candle.

for pillars I generally prefer to just use a wick from the get go.

I'll try that. Which mold release do you recommend? I've never used that. Thank you!

You could rig a wick pin or skewer to save a step. Or, thread the wick down into the hole, seal with putty or high temp metal tape and do it in one step.

I think I have some wick pins but I'm not sure how to rig one. Are you saying before the wax gets completely hard to push a wick pin or skewer in through the bottom to make the hole? I'm completely oblivious as to how to do this obviously LOL! That would be a lot easier though. I hadn't even thought about using wick pins. Thank you for that reminder! I always think of the hardest ways to do something when there's usually a much simpler way.

My hands down absolute favorite vanilla of all time is Bittercreek's Vanilla Bean Supreme!  It is the strongest and best vanilla I have ever had and is a best seller.  I pour pure soy candles and do para soy melts.  Always a winner!

Does this smell similar to Vanilla Bean Noel or Mrs Claus Cookies from NG?  I have a sample order going on at BC and might pick up a sample of it.

BC Pumpkin Cheesecake is awesome!  Downright delicious!

What other Pumpkin Cheesecake FO's have you tried? I don't think I've tried this one but I might actually have it somewhere LOL! I bought some from Aztec and it's ok and then bought some from Bulk but haven't put it in wax yet. Thinking of blending my own.

I am noticing all the initials for fragrance complies and I regonize a few but not FB. JS. ICS. TCS.?

    FB is Fragrance Buddy

    JS-Just Scent

    ICS-Indiana Candle Supply

TCS-The Candle Source, Texas Candle Supply or The Candlemakers Store. My guess would be The Candle Source.

    Hope this helps!

Discontinued?!  I loved this one, so sick of this happening.

ETA: they have far more others that could have gone before this one, CPB was so yummy and great throw.

I was sick about this too. I love this oil! Maybe we could have it duped somewhere? ICS turtle brownie is very similar so I'm thinking you could take that and add a little more chocolate to it and come up with a very close scent.

  11. I don't think I've used buy aroma beads, but I have used Cajun's and never had a problem with them other than it takes them longer to soak up and you have to cook them longer. I did have a couple of customers say their freshener melted in the heat but as far as I know that's the only ones in about 6 years of doing this. I've never had one of my own melt and we have extremely hot weather here. The first one that melted was probably from Buy It Ship It when they had decent beads. The second one was from Plastic Pellets 4 Fun.

Has anyone tried the beads from LS yet? I was Just noticing the price and they are comparable to everyone except PP4F.

Not yet but thinking about placing an order with them this weekend so I'll order a few pounds.

  13. I second a lot of the ones mentioned already!

    Sugared Vanilla Shortbread

    Berry Tangerine

    Rattlesnake Grass

    Whipped Pumpkin Pie

    Bay Laurel

    Black Raspberry and Vanilla

    Blackberry Brûlée

    Butterscotch

    Apple Cider and Donuts

    Caramel Apple Cider

    Peach and Sweet Berries

    Pom Cider

    Pumpkin Ginger Strusel

Autumn Leaves-I LOVE this one and I don't usually like this type of fragrance. I'm a bakery person but this one is so wonderful. It screams Fall!

    Salted Caramel

Oatmeal Milk and Honey smells nice too

    Pumpkin Chai

Pumpkin Pancake-this one reminds me of Pumpkin Pecan Waffles

Has anyone tried the candlemakers srore? I just found them, and they are within driving distance. However I know nothing about them. So any input would be helpful. Thanks

I've tried a few of theirs and they seemed fine. I can't tell you which ones right off the top of my head though. It's been a while ago. I didn't like using them at first because they had no scent descriptions but now they do. I need to put some samples I have in wax and see how they do.

I saw in another post you like  Autumn Leaves from CW? Is it more of an earthy or sophisticated type scent? its in my cart to try. Also want to try Voodoo Love.

I love that scent and plan to order another bottle soon. I can't describe it really but it just screams Fall to me. I smell fruit and woodsy notes in it.

I also like Voodoo Love. I don't think you will be disappointed in any of their FO's.

I'm glad to read that because I ordered a sample from Lone Star.  How are you all using leather FO?  Straight up or as a mixer?  What are some blends you like with it?  I ordered that sample not because I have specific plans for it but to see what fun I can have with it.

I use it straight up and blended with vanilla, cherry, strawberry, black ice, and Texas Candle Supply has one called Cowboys at the Beach that has it blended with Butt  Naked and it smells really good. They also have several other leather blends that smell good too that you might want to try or blend yourself.

Getting seriously frustrated with beads melting out from under my cookie cutters. I got the cookie cutters from cookiecutter.com is there anywhere else that has some that are a little more heavy duty? These bend out of shape so easy and I am having trouble getting them to lay flat again 😫

This happens to me all the time too. I get tired of it but I take scissors and trim around them. You can get heavier cutters that are made from heavier stuff ( I think copper) but they are so expensive. I have one but it was only because I wanted an Indian head and that's the only place I found one. I think it was about $14 or so.

I get a lot of my cookie cutters from there too. Some that might seem a little heavier are the Ann Clark ones but they're not very big. It seems they all bend out of shape a little when used.
