  1. I love

    pumpkin pie spice from RE

Pumpkin vanilla marshmallow FB or Aztec-they smell the same to my nose

    Pumpkin Spiced Cheesecake-FB

    Pumpkin-FB

    Pumpkin Pie-CS

    Pumpkin Soufflé- CS

I'm not crazy about PPW's but it's popular. FB has a good one and I also think CW's Pumpkin pancakes smells almost the same to me.

    Pumpkin SPice-Aztec

    Cinnamon Pumpkin Bread-FB

    Pumpkin Harvest-ICS

    Harvest Pumpkin-Cierra

    Cinnamon Pumpkin Souflee-FB

    Pumpkin Sugared Donuts-FB

    Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin-FB

    Spiced Pumpkin Cider-FB

Ole South Pumpkin Pie-Oregon Trails-Haven't put this one in wax but it smells good OOB.

I just got in Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin from Peak and I'm not crazy about it OOB but I plan to try to get it in wax soon.

Butternut Pumpkin from LS is good too

The Great Pumpkin from TCS is also good

I have Pumpkin Caramel swirl I think from Aztec

    Pumpkin Apple Butter-NG

There are a couple more that I can't think of.

I would have to say my personal favorites are Pumpkin pie spice RE, Pumpkin vanilla marshmallow, Pumpkin Sugared donuts and harvest Pumpkin but they're all good!

Can you tell I love pumpkin scents! LOL! I'm sure some of these kind of smell alike and I could consolidate some I guess.

I like cajun’s beads and Nature’s Garden. There’s got to be someplace we can order from like PP4F where we can get them in bulk! I also Find that Aztec’s beads do not hold a scent at all.

I agree! I wish I knew how to get them though. I went on BCN website and 10 pounds of their beads are almost double what PP4F charges for theirs and that's before shipping! WOW! I don't remember them being that much better if any. I just remember them being the smaller beads that soaked up faster than the ones from Cajun and Aztec.

The ones I got from AAA are larger too but they did soak up the oil I used in them but it just took longer. I did an experiment with them and the ones from Plastic and theirs soaked up days faster. Haven't baked them yet though to see which has the stronger scent.

Do you find the ones from Cajun are bigger and take longer to soak up? I think the ones from NG are the smaller ones but theirs are more expensive too. I think I'm going to go ahead and order some from LS like I've been meaning to do and see how theirs work. They don't charge an arm and a leg for theirs and I would get them sooner. So far though the ones from PP4F are working out ok. I sure wish Aroma beads online would go back to their old beads.

I tried some of her scents a while ago but must of picked all misses! The names and scent descriptions all sound sooooo amazing! Wish I had more luck.

She has some good oils and some duds like everyone else. I like a lot of her oils but there are some that I thought were weak too. I don't like any of her pumpkin scents and couldn't get her pumpkin pie spice to throw much at all and yet it gets good reviews.

I can send you some samples if you'd like!

Thank you for the feedback!  We also fill our cutters almost full.  Since our last post, we’ve had two more customers that contacted us with melted freshies.  One of them happened within hours of hanging in the car.  We will no longer be using PP4F for our aroma beads.  At first we thought it might be a fluke, but we have now discovered that multiple batches with different scents have melted.  It wasn’t from just one shipment of beads either.  One shipment was from March and another from May.  We have thousands of dollars in cured and dyed beads that we are afraid to use.  We suspect they all have the potential to melt.  We have spoken with Paul from PP4F twice and will be calling him again tomorrow.  Hopefully, we can get refunded for the defective beads.  We are taking a huge hit financially from this ordeal.  Not to mention, our company’s reputation is on the line.  We don’t mind spending more money to get a quality product.  We researched and read customer reviews for a significant amount of time prior to starting this business.

We just received our Cajun Candles aroma beads and started soaking those.  We will keep you guys updated and would still appreciate feedback if others are having a problem with melting.

I am so sorry you're having such trouble out of your beads. It can be so frustrating and expensive for sure. I think I"m going to post this question in my group on FB to see if any of my customers are having thing happen that I don't know about.

I will tell you that in my experience with Cajun beads you will have to let them soak longer and bake a little longer. Theirs, Aztec's and the ones from AAA seem to be bigger than the rest of the ones I've bought. They do bake up nice in my opinion though. I just can't bake the two types of beads at the same time because of the difference in how they need to bake.

If you want smaller beads that soak faster then NG and BCN have excellent beads. They are higher but will be worth the cost in the long run.

Wishing you much success and keep us posted on how things are going!

I have Had some melt also and I’ve been using PP4F since he started carrying the beads and I’ve never had this happen. I’ve talked with Paul and we are going to do some research into it and some testing.

Please let us know on here what you come up with. I hope it's something that's an easy fix.

We have been making aroma bead car freshies for the past 9 months.  We have always used the premium aroma beads from Plastic Pellets for Fun.  Recently, multiple customers have had issues with their freshie melting in their car.  We have spoken with Paul from PP4F and he thought we may have received the basic aroma beads by mistake. We were able to trace back to a shipment from April with the faulty beads.  Unfortunately, today, we discovered that a recent freshie which was made from a June batch of aroma beads has melted.  We are panicking at this point and worried that all of our product made with PP4F beads needs to be thrown out.  We have thousands of dollars invested and tons of already soaked and ready to bake beads that we are afraid to use.  Can anyone help us with suggestions or had similar issues.  We are in Oklahoma with outside Temps near 100 degrees.  Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I know I've only had one customer that's had one melt in their car while she was at the lake. How full do you fill your cutters? I've bought beads from Buy It Ship It, Cajun, NG, Aztec and PP4F and I've not had that happen. I'm in Southeast Texas so I would think we would have temps hot enough to do that. I sure hope something isn't going on. I fill mine pretty much full and make sure I have a good amount from the top to the hole in case it does get too hot. I hope you find out what's causing that and I hope it doesn't happen to you again. It is defiantly disheartening to have stuff like that happen.

    Thanks, Belinda.

Out of that list, if you could choose only 5, which ones would you choose?

    Cinnamon Crunch Cake

    Coffee Ice Cream

Strawberry White Cake-I like the one from ICS almost as much as this one though.

    Hazelnut Marshmallow Fluff

Snicker Doodle- forgot to put that one on the list. I like it better than any snicker doodle cookie that I've smelled. It's more of a maple cookie scent to me. I think it's stronger than her Butter Pecan Sandies but both are good. They're very similar.

Her marshmallow fireside smells the same as any I've smelled as well as her buttery gingerbread and serendipity and you could probably get those cheaper from ICS or FB.

Fluffy Towels is good for a clean scent with a touch of something else that I can't quite put my finger on.

Oooh, I must try TT's Pink Sugar!  Is it as good as Peak's (in your opinion, of course).

Tall Tayl, when do you think it'll be available so I can try some?

I've never bought anything from Just Scent... any FO I absolutely should have?

There are several of JS oils that I love.

    I love her

    Cinnamon Crunch Cake,

    Absolutely Fabulous Cake

    Blue Cotton Candy

    Butter Pecan Sandies

Buttercream sugar cookie-same as ICS frosted sugar cookie

    Buttery Gingerbread-same as ICS BGB

    Caramel Cinnamon Latte

    Cherry Slushie

    Coffee Ice Cream

    Cornbread Muffins

    Fluffy Towels

    Hazelnut Marshmallow Fluff

    Jelly Glazed Donut

    Jingle Bells

    Lavender Milk

    Marshmallow Fireside

Orange caramel crumble-smells the same as ICS orange caramel cake

    Peppermint Meringue

    Pink sugar

    Santa Baby

Serendipity -smells the same as ICS

    Strawberry White Cake

    Vanilla Patchouli

There are a few more but I think she's discontinued some that I have.

I love Mike's Brulee from Starville too.  When you type in www.tylerstarville.com it takes you to starville.com.  They only have Creme Brulee listed so I hope they haven't changed the formulation.  I've been hoarding the last bit of his creme brulee for myself (I know it's selfish!)  I'll be interested to see if it's the same.

Me too! I hope it's the same for sure. If not Cajun's is right there with it.

I've only really had bad sinkholes in 6006, the other waxes are minor heat gun fixes usually. I let them set on some cardboard or in a box away from A/C and I don't have that problem often anymore apart from with wooden wicks, they are the worst for this type of thing. If I was selling them though, I'd totally be stabbing every candle with a kebob skewer all the way down around the wick just because my OCD would be tripping.

So the sink holes usually just occur around the wick? That seems to be where I've had them happen with 6006 but I haven't made that many candles and thought it was just me not knowing what I was doing LOL! Which I'm sure is part of my problem.

Anything within reach that is long, slender and somewhat sharp.  Screwdrivers, skewers, etc.

When it’s pretty much completely set up/cooled off. You can wait days no problem. just not while still warm, otherwise, as I learned the hard way, you get to repeat the process 🙄

So after it's set up, you poke a skewer or something down in it a couple of times to check for sink holes and then do a re-pour or smooth it out with a heat gun? Just trying to get a mental picture so I won't do it wrong when I have to do it.

I'm guessing that Children's Room is really nothing like the one at Rustic Escentuals / Aroma Haven?  The descriptions are different anyway.

I saw a Moonlight Tuberose mentioned there, and I know someone on here was mentioning tuberose recently so this might be worth investigating:

    https://www.naturesgardencandles.com/moonlight-tuberose-fragrance-oil

And these bath bombs (scented with that tuberose) are just tooooo pretty:

    https://www.naturesgardencandles.com/foaming-rose-petal-bath-bombs-recipe

I may make my next indulgence be an NG order, so is there anything you all can add to the previous posts?

Related note:  do they have sample sales, or any kind of sales, and if so does there seem to be a regular rotation?

I don't know that I've ever noticed them having sales, have you? I just can't think of any. They do have some good FO's though and seem more reasonable than some other suppliers.

  13. I too love CS pumpkin pie

    RE's pumpkin pie spice

    LS apple cinnamon

    CW Leaves

    ICS Nana's kitchen

Aztec or FB or LS  Cinnamon sugared donut

    Aztec or NG Gingerbread

Aztec or FB vanilla pumpkin marshmallow

    JS cinnamon crunch cake

I could smell these scents all year! I like bakery though.

Ok, I went searching for Mike's Creme Brulee... no luck; he's "gone".  Starrville's original owners have moved to Missouri and continue to sell under the name "Starrville" (online sales only).

So.... what's a FOHO woman to do?  The prices are really good, shipping is only $10, and I told myself I'd be ordering for "research purposes" ... right!🙄 I was good, though, keeping the order very small.

    I  ordered:

Creme brulee (hoping it's as I remember it)

Sandalwood vanilla (I want to try Starville's because BB's prices have gone through the roof!)

    Diva

    Mexican vanilla

They're listed under Starville? Is this different from Tyler Starville? Please let me know if it's the same cream brûlée. I still have some of his left. Cajun's is almost identical though so I know you'd be happy with theirs.

I found A coconut that everyone loves from Aztec. It’s called Copper Coconut. I can Even double scent my PP4F beads with it because it soaks in so quickly and everyone loves the strong coconut scent

Thank you for sharing that! I think I actually have that FO from them and have just never put it in anything but since I got a new order of beads in yesterday I think I'll mix up some!

Have you tried the beads from Lonestar yet?  Was going to dabble in the air fresheners again and would love to order from them as I already get a ton of product there.   How do they compare to the one from Plastic Pellets?

I was mistaken about them being from LS. They were actually from AAA. Theirs are the bigger beads like Aztec and Cajun sell. I wasn't sure at first by just looking at them so I weighed out the same amount of FO and bead ratio with them as with some I had from PP4F and the ones from PP4F soaked up much faster but the AAA beads finally soaked up too. I can tell they're the bigger beads and will take longer to bake. I'm glad I only got a pound. I'm going to order a pound from LS just to see which ones they use too and to have another supplier if I need one.

Belinda...do you think its the beads from Buy It Ship It or the fragrance oil that is making my freshies lose its scent?  Where are the best fragrance oils in your opinion?  I personally love The Flaming Candle and I've recently tried a few from Lone Star Candle Supply.  Of course I have purchased from a few other places but those stand out to me.

I defiantly think her beads are trash beads and don't hold scent and don't melt right in the middle for some reason. She had great beads until she switched and I ordered from her all the time before that.

As far as oils, I use from many suppliers. I do know that the stronger the FO the longer it'll last and also sometimes you can't smell it anymore in your vehicle but someone else can. I can also smell mine better when I'm sitting in the back seat at times. I think it's because the AC is blowing the scent back there.

What type of scents are you using? I know scents like leather are very popular here but to me leather isn't as strong as say Barbershop 1920's from RE or Black Ice from any supplier. I get requests for coconut scents but they're not strong in wax or any product in my opinion. Have you tried any masculine scents? Those are usually strong. I get mine from NG, LS, RE, FB, TCS, Aztec and a few other places.

  18. Blueberry Cobbler-I love the one from Lone Star but Aztec has a good one too

Cream Brûlée -Cajun, hands down, although the one from Aztec and Peak smell nice too but Cajun has a real depth to it. I think it was you that told me about Mike's Brûlée a long time ago when Starville was still open. Anyway, it was a whole lot like the one from Cajun. Really rich and creamy. I can send you some if you'd like.

Pumpkin Spice-I like the one from Aztec but love the one from RE. They smell different to me so you could use both I guess and just give them different names. Actually I think RE is pumpkin pie spice.

Spicey Gingery cinammony- Aztec has a good spiced gingerbread and I also love the gingerbread from NG

Mac Apple-I think Candle Science has been mentioned to have a good one and if I'm not mistaken I have that one but can't be sure.

Pink Sugar-JS or ICS or NG. Or get it from either Moonshine or TallTayle. I can't remember which one does the oils but the samples I got smell great!

It's such a shame you couldn't get all of what you were asking about from one place. Rats! Now you have to shop for more FO's from several suppliers which means you have to try samples from each one! LOL!

    😂

I actually had beads from Aztec to where I sold them as air fresheners and one of mine completely melted in my customers car! It is still on the string but it is totally warped 🙄

mans this is why I’m looking for a new bead supplier 🤷‍♀️

I've been doing these for about 5-6 years and have only known of one to do this.

I've been getting my beads from Plastic Pellets 4 Fun and they seem to be good beads. I would buy from NG or BCN but their beads are higher and shipping is high to where I live but their beads are good too. I really think the ones from PP4F are the same but can't be sure unless I have some to test side by side. I've bought the beads from Aztec before and they are bigger beads that take longer to soak up and you have to bake them longer. I don't really care for theirs. Don't buy the ones from Aroma Beads Online or Buy It Ship It because they are trash beads in my opinion. A lot of us have had trouble with them.
