Have any of you dried your PlasticPellets4Fun beads and baked immediately without a few days of curing?
GoldieMN
I've baked but only after a few days of soaking. They've turned out great. So much better than the ones I was getting from Aroma Beads online after they changed theirs.

Oh boy! Yes please let me know what you think. Mill creek has a good one??? This is the sole reason I need to stay off here lol I went thru(actually my daughter came home from college and talked me into going from about 300+ oils to only 40) I used to be so excited to get my packages, now it’s just no fun!
but on a positive side it’s made ordering a whole lot better!!
I need to do the same thing! I have hundreds of oils and most of them I don't even use. All they do is take my money and take up space LOL!

I have her pumpkin pie spice but can never get any scent from it. I'm not sure why because a lot of people love that oil from her. I even poured some more the other day and there's hardly any cold throw but I'll melt one and see if I can get ht from it. I also couldn't get throw from some of her other pumpkin scents.

I've read where some in the wax world that buy tons of wax don't like the plastic smell the clamshells give to the wax. I do notice it with some scents but not all of them and even though that's what most people around here usually go after I prefer shapes and have invested in tons of silicone molds. I hope when I do go public one day that my customers like shapes LOL!

Ditto with what they said! Love it!

I have always gotten my beads from aroma beads online so not sure why you were having issues with them. I Know they have recently switched to Prime, which means they are the top quality and will always be the same.
If you made them and cooked immediately, that will not last. Beads can always be salvaged. You should be using 2 oz of oil to 1 lb of beads. wait at least 4-5 days to cure them before cooking. To the person whose beads fell out, they were not cooked long enough. I always use the edge of a chopstick before I take them from the oven. If it pops up with the stick, they need more time. Everyone's oven is different.
Been doing this for over 10 years. If you do not like them, try www.buyitshipit.com The have good quality beads.
I tried the beads for fun. They were crap! The melt on them is way too low and they melted in the car and on the table at a craft show.
I always bought mine from them and also buy it ship it which is the same company. They had great beads but now they're crap! I've thrown away so many fresheners made with their beads and finally just took the last whole 10 pound bag I bought from them and threw it in the trash. I will never buy from aroma beads online or buy it ship it again. HUGE waste of money! I also ordered one of their fresheners and compared to mine it looked terrible and had hardly any smell to it at all. I'm glad you're having good luck but for a lot of us their beads are terrible now. I will buy from NG or Plasticpellets 4 fun or whatever their name is from now on unless they switch to bad beads like Aroma beads online did. If that happens I will quit making fresheners altogether.

Nature's Items has this! I just received a free sample of it today with my order and it really is "divine"!
I had to order a sample of this when I read your post and it came in today. It's wonderful OOB!
@Moonstar, I've used a few of Wellington's oils and like most they are a hit and a miss. I think I had more misses with them than hits but that doesn't mean they don't have some good oils. I just never see much mentioned about them on here.

Just one of many articles about the subject.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/getting-the-lead-out/
The real issue beside lead wick is the actual fragrance used. We do not know exactly what is used in some oils but low quality lower cost oils tend to be more dangerous health wise than the actual wax used.
I have stayed away from fo containing phthalates, but years from now I'm sure it will be something else lol.
Thank you! I was thinking the same thing that soy had additives in it so in reality it can't be anymore natural than paraffin!

Oh I'm so sad! I just placed an order with them and I don't think I got a sample of this. I love NG's bayberry but it's straight without anything else in it.

A friend recently posted on Facebook about the dangers of paraffin candles and how soy is safe. I was thinking I'd read where it was the lead in the wicks that made them unsafe and lead wicks have been banned but I'm not sure if that's correct or not. I know I've read something about this on here somewhere but can't find it. Any thoughts or research anyone has that suggests this is a wrong statement for her to make? I don't believe they're unsafe but don't have anything to base that on really.
Thanks!

Doesn't Indianna have a Baked Apple ? Its always on the best seller list.
Yes, and it's a good one too. I think it's a twin to one of RE's apple scents but I don't remember which one.

Yes, their sugar cookie is the best one I’ve found and I have tried many. Their cinnamon spice, to my nose, is very close to Tennessee’s cinnamon stick, which was my all time favorite cinnamon. Their Amish harvest is excellent, as is their berry tangerine, cranberry citrus, honey crisp apple, and French vanilla.
Thank you!

I really love Northstar’s cinnamon and spiced apples—one of my personal favs. OOB it’s more cinnamon, but the apple really comes through once burning.
I've never ordered from them but have visited their website before. Are there any must haves from them?

I work at a school and there are a couple of people that have these and make spirit shirts and sell them. I want one SO bad but I know I won't even try to attempt to learn how to use it until school's out. But I think Santa might have to bring me one LOL! AND a heat press of course!

I tried it and didn't care for it but you might love it. I think Candy Bee has used it and loves it. I don't think I have it anymore or I would send it to you.

I've been wanting one for the past three years and can't decide on a silhouette or a cricut. Most of my friends that have one use a silhouette and love it. Which one are you thinking about getting?

The new beads I just received (which are the same as my first order) are drying in a day! So it was the problem beads. Now, do I try to sell all the ornies I made if they don't last very long as @Skk5233 stated? I would have to dump quite a few but don't want dissatisfied customers either.
GoldieMN
I've got some beads from PlasticPellets4fun but I haven't baked them yet. I did notice they have soaked up really fast though. Are these the problem beads? I was ordering from aroma beads online and she changed her beads and they're terrible!

I'm curious which of these 3 you most recommend? Or are they all equally good to you?
The Spiced Oranges from Cajun and ICS seem to be the same to my nose. Orange clove is also good. I'll have to sniff them together and get back with you. They might be so similar that it wouldn't pay to have orange clove and spiced oranges.

YES! Lol I found it after I posted and ordered it. Thank you!
Do you mind sharing where it was you found it? I've been thinking about doing away with clamshells and using bags to put my wax bars in.

Could it be a chocolate bar mold? I've seen some that look similar to that.

I've been using Apple Cinnamon from Lone Star and it's pretty good but I need to order some more and wanted to know if there's a better one out there before I do.
Thanks!

Aztec has their version of Winter by B&BW's and the description sounds similar to what you have listed. Hope that helps!
