  1. You all had me curious so I went and checked them out. I found their shop on Amazon. Here's what I noticed. - Their products look real nice, pretty label designs and I like the glass status jars with the flat glass lids. - They impressed me with their product images and the fact that they used some of them as info graphics as well, as a buyer I really like that. I like product info to be quick and easy to find. - Several of the reviews I read did not speak favorably of the candle quality. - For some reason they are having or have had terrible problems with their candles arriving cracked/busted by several customers per the reviews. Yet surprisingly, they still have 73% of 5 Star reviews. Go figure? - Seems hit or miss with their candle products which is a shame. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016CHUTI2/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=sl1&tag=pet-house-odor-eliminating-candle-20&linkId=3396396d0ebe24b4eb42830b73c3b1b2#customerReviews
  2. Yes, I know what you mean. I can't decide what I want to do yet, 1 label with all info or 2 labels with the scent name separate. Guess I should just jump in and try one option out (as a small qty) and then change to the other option if that doesn't work out.
  3. Funny you bring that up because I've been thinking about the same thing with labels and the different scents.
  4. Lavender seems to be a popular scent too.
  5. Oh yes, I agree, that is another Wow shop. She does an amazing job making her products look like real food, super cute. I see awesome products like that and successful people and it gets me pumped to create my own success story. Let's get busy and make products...! 🀩
  6. I checked out their website and wow, very impressive. Very nice website and lovely containers and packaging. Certainly looks like they've got it going on, good for them. And I saw the candles in the baskets, very cute and different. https://www.hillhousenaturals.com/product-p/ctggl2.htm
  7. I hear ya, I had been doing the same thing with basically any coconut wax I tried to use, mainly because of the wicking issues. That was last year, I got feed up and have only been making wax melts since Jan. 2019. I plan on making candles sometime again soon and hopefully the waxes will be better and I'll have a better perspective of what to do. For some crazy reason I'm partial it coconut wax, maybe because I live in Florida, but after playing with lots of different waxes making melts, I've realized I like all kinds of waxes and the possibilities are endless.

  9. Wow, you all have gotten me all whooped up to go buy some FOs from PFO! LOL. This is the Best kind of advertising/marketing PFO could ever hope for.
  10. Thanks for pointing that out TallTayl. πŸ‘ Thumbs up to Natures Garden, they do a great job of presenting all that information. I really appreciate it when suppliers/MFGs put a lot of info on their sites and show that they realize that it's very helpful and time saving for us, their busy customers.
  11. LOL, that makes me think of some of the videos I've seen online where the person making candles, soap, whatever doesn't weigh or at least measure their ingredients and just throws stuff in their pot. 😲 IDK, everybody is free to do what they want and maybe even with enough experience you can just eyeball stuff and get it right.
  12. Sorry, I don't know much about it because I don't make any bath and body products for the skin. I just know I've seen separate fragrance lists for candle use and for B&B use. Some fragrances are safe for using on the skin and some are not but I don't know if that necessarily means one type is stronger smelling than the other type. I'm sure there is lots of info on here under B&B that you could look at to find out more.
  13. At least it's not like all suppliers are trying to be deceptive or something, some suppliers are up front about it and say that they have different grades or concentrations of FOs. From the way I understand it, some people or B&B makers need less concentrated fragrances for whatever reasons, skin contact or etc. Certainly something to be aware of and decide what works for you. πŸ™‚
  14. Oh, I see what you mean about the automatic stir pots. Those look and sound interesting, especially if they are going to come out with larger ones. I have a laser thermometer too and love it, it's currently my favorite gadget. You can take the temp of so many things. πŸ‘©β€πŸ”¬
  15. Your display looks nice @Candybee and your palm wax candles look so pretty.
  16. Nice work, that should look really good. Be sure to take pics of your new setup and show us. And so it looks like everything will pull apart and collapse for storage and hauling? The shelves and legs are separate pieces right?
  17. Glad to hear it and you're welcome. πŸ˜‰
  18. For those that are interested in concentrated fragrance oils for candle making. Here's links to websites that say their scents are concentrated or non-diluted, so they say. Some links go to pages that describe their FOs and some links go to a FO page that mentions that it is concentrated somewhere on the page. I have not bought from all of these places, only the first six suppliers and I like their FOs and find them to be strong using them between 8-10%. I could probably go lower on the percentages but I've not done any tests yet and I do like strong smelling products. https://thecandlemakersstore.com/a-grade-vs-b-grade-fragrances https://www.bulkapothecary.com/product/raw-ingredients/fragrance-flavor/fragrances/bay-rum-fragrance-oil/ https://www.naturesgardencandles.com/fragrance-oils https://www.wellingtonfragrance.com/Fragrance-Oils-C34.aspx https://www.theflamingcandle.com/fragrance-oil/ https://www.candlescience.com/fragrance-oil https://www.naturesfragrance.com/aladdins-wish-fragrance-oil/ http://www.scentoils.com/Scented_Oils_2.html https://afi-usa.com/faq/ http://www.cajuncandles.com/fragrance-oils.html https://www.lonestarcandlesupply.com/fragrance-oils.html https://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/fragrance-oils.aspx https://www.justscent.com/fragrance-oil-notes.html https://www.cierracandles.com/fragrance-oils.html https://www.gemlite.com/page/az http://www.saveonscents.com/importantfragranceinfo.php http://store.southwestcandlesupply.com/fragrance-oils.html http://www.wicks-wax-scents.com/scentlist.html http://www.greatcandle.com/ https://www.northstar3c.com/shop/Category/Fragrance-Oils
  19. Hello @CraftLux Candles and welcome. You will find lots of good information here and helpful people. Enjoy!
  20. Oh I know, things can get confusing, that's why you have to dig a little deeper and get to the facts. But trust the charts and start with that. Once that guy explained to me how to read the charts it made sense and I've had an easier time with wicking. Those are the wick manufactures and they should know what they're talking about, LOL. I'm sure there are wick suppliers out there that haven't taken the time to fully understand the different wicks. They're probably like us, we just assume the wick sizes and number are sequential from small to large, which isn't always the case. Have fun testing. LOL πŸ˜„
  21. Hi Gary. A few ways to do that are bookmark the page like you would any other webpage, click the "following" button at the top of the page or copy and paste the text into a document.
