  1. Yes, everything looks very nice and professional and I like the balloon idea. I like the product tins and your displays. Good job. And probably like most things it will be an ever evolving process. Good luck at your next fair.
  2. Hello @WendySue and welcome to Craft Server. Yes, there are lots of posts on wicking so if you do a search you can find them. If you find one that relates to your questions/issues then post your question there or you can make a new post for your particular question.
  3. I don't know for sure but they were probably just not careful when they made the wax and that debris got in it. Maybe they didn't notice it or didn't care. I'd contact Calf Candle Supply. Like @GoldieMN said you can use a strainer the next time if it happens again.
  4. Yes, reading posts on here can be very addictive. It hampers my production sometimes. LOL
  5. Florida you say, that's where I am. It's good to be here in the Sunshine State. LOL
  6. I love Christmas Hearth, one of my all time favorites.
  7. I myself, as a maker or a consumer, don't care which type of oil is used as long as it smells good and has a decent throw. I've not jumped on any of those bandwagons; all natural, vegan, organic, yada, yada, yada. LOL. But here's some links for more info if you are interested. https://www.craftserver.com/topic/113671-essential-oil-vs-fragrance-oil/?tab=comments#comment-1076728 https://www.craftserver.com/topic/108703-soy-wax-essential-oil/?tab=comments#comment-1019009
  8. Way to go, you did it, you over came the nagging FO monkey on your back. LOL Yipee! Sounds like you made a good choice getting a new tablet instead.
  9. Hello Bo and welcome to Craft Server. I love learning and sharing too. You've came to the right place because there is a lot of that going on. Cheers! Laura
  10. LOL, you are right, there are two similar posts talking about these wicks. I didn't realize I was bouncing back and forth between two posts. One post is titled "Ribbon Wick" and the other one is titled "Ribbon Wicks"
  11. Yes, they are cool candles. No, unfortunately doesn't look like the type of "ribbon wick" they use is available for purchase. The other ribbon wicks I posted links for are the only thing I could find. It almost looks like they took one of the tall ribbon wicks and laid it on it's side in a "S" pattern. That would be a neat experiment, hadn't thought of that until now. LOL
  12. I found the Ribbonwick and HearthWick candles for sale but I can't find any of the wicks for sale, don't think you can. Yankee Candle sells them too and somehow they are connected to the WoodWick Company, maybe Yankee bought them out. They are beautiful candles, I really like them. https://www.woodwick-candles.com/hearthwick.html https://www.woodwick-candles.com/woodwick/ribbonwick.html https://www.amazon.com/RibbonWick/b/ref=bl_dp_s_web_7636821011?ie=UTF8&node=7636821011&field-lbr_brands_browse-bin=RibbonWick https://www.yankeecandle.com/browse/candles/ribbonwick-candles/_/N-bc8
  13. I've looked for them but not found them. I don't believe they sell them. They are patented and propriety to only them I believe.
  14. Those are cool looking candles, I've been thinking about buying one. You are on the nose, the candle industry competition is fierce. There's a lot of creative people and companies out there. Now that's just talking about the looks of the products alone, as we know, some products look better than they perform. Nowadays, sellers really have to fill a buyers need, have great branding, something different to offer, lots of advertising and a great product to back it up. It is a lot of work and expense.
  15. Here's some Ribbon Wick suppliers https://www.northwoodcandlesupply.com/products/ribbon-wick-candle-wick https://www.cierracandles.com/Ribbon-prewaxed-wicks.html I purchased mine from Northwood Candle Supply. I have used them in coconut/soy wax blends and I like them for something different and I think they look pretty. My observations: - usually great hot throw - like @ComfortandJoy mentioned, the option of more than 3 wick sizes would be ideal - I have cut the wicks myself into different widths but who wants to do that and then they can fray - usually when the candle burns too hot, the melt pool will be very dark and have a dark ring around the candle when it cools And there's also CottonWood Wicks that are wide and flat like the Ribbon Wicks. https://www.northstar3c.com/shop/Category/CottonWood-Wicks I have played around with those wicks too but don't remember much about them except the hot throw was usually good in coconut/soy wax. And after lighting the wicks, the end frays and curls down like fingers on a hand. Doesn't seem to cause a problem, just looks different.
  16. LOL, I know what you mean @KrazeKelly, when I hear them talking about something new or something I haven't played with yet I want to go buy it.
  17. Hi @Grani L. I can't comment on using the FOs in 464 or those specific scents and I haven't ordered from them in a while but I will say that they are one of my favorite scent suppliers. A lot or most of the scents I have ordered from them I have like and had good h&c throw in coconut soy wax.
  18. Sounds lovely. They list on their site that their FOs are concentrated, I prefer to shop for concentrated FOs. CC also has these cute tiny heart shaped tins. https://candlecocoon.com/collections/containers-and-lids/products/tiny-heart-tins
  19. Rose Bouquet from Peak must be good and popular for Valentine's Day, it's currently out of stock. https://peakfragrances.com/products/rose-bouquet Peak only says on their website that their FO are "Premium fragrance oils for professional crafters and artisans.". Do you consider their FOs to be "concentrated"?
  20. Sorry, I can't provide any feedback on Vybar, I've not started testing with it yet. Maybe someone with experience will respond. I can say that I have increased c&h scent throw using Universal Soy Wax Additive (USWA) in coconut soy wax blends with pretty much any FO that I used. And I know what you mean about adding any unnecessary ingredients or steps. I like to keep things as quick and simple as possible.
