  1. Cool, show & tell. Thanks for posting.
  2. My stirring spoons came from Dollar Tree too. A pack of 3-4 spoons for $1. Thick, white plastic that wipes off easily or can be microwaved and the handles are varying lengths so it works out great depending on the height of the pouring pot I'm using at the time. @kandlekrazy brings up a good point about spoons that are too long flipping out of the pots, had that happened too.
  3. Hi @kfintoni. You mentioned shipping but didn't list the shipping cost and don't forget about packaging for shipping and like @Trappeur said, your time/labor is worth something too. I take it you don't use dye.
  4. Hi @Paintguru. Why not try a little bit of a scent boosting additive such as one of the Vybars with a paraffin wax or one of the Universal Additives for a soy wax? Have you not tried them or have they not worked for you? And of course you could always use those weak scents in fire starters, that seems to be a popular option. LOL
  5. Looks nice but I believe the requirements say to list the ounces as Net. Weight of your contents.
  6. @Trappeur, you're so talented and creative. It's hard to choose, they are all so nice but I think I do like the first two. It may be good if you can make sure each label does have the word cancer on it somewhere.
  7. I like that jar with the copper lid and your label is really nice too.
  8. That's so cute. Maybe people will adopt the cats.
  9. Hello @Peggy T and welcome.
  10. Metal Tart Molds - after they cool and are cool to the touch, mine pop out easily. Just turn upside down, may or may not have to give a little tap or slight squeeze. IGI 4625 Pillar Wax is easy to work with and does really well with clamshells and tart molds, at least for the few I have made. Good h&c scent throw, I just hate that it's in slab form. For sink holes, I've had that problem with that wax, I even mixed a batch with 20% 444 soy and still had sink holes. I have noticed that the larger in diameter the mold is, the less the sink hole is and seems like if I don't completely fill the cavities, like you show in your pics, then the sink holes weren't as noticeable either. I can do a 2nd pour but prefer not to. Hope that helps.
  11. Oh wow @Trappeur, everything is so pretty. I love crystal/cut glass jars like that and I'm really into candle embeds right now. That looks like it was so much fun. I need to get busy again in my candle workshop and get creative. I see you and the cats are already enjoying them.
  12. This is a good trick and I do it too. Just want to mention, for anyone reading this post, be sure to insert wick sections/pieces in the correct direction. Keep track of the end that was attached to the tab. Some wicks are directional and some aren't, to be on the safe side just assume all wicks are directional unless you want to look up each wick to find out. Inserting a wick in the wrong direction can give unexpected results, I find that out the hard way.
  13. Holy moly that's expensive wax! It looks and sounds great. Maybe I'll take out a loan and try it. Actually from the way you describe it, it sounds exactly the way I would describe the wonderful candles of long ago that I use to be able to make with the long lost version of Coconut 83 from Accu-blend. From my experience, it's the great coconut wax that got away. Maybe someone at Lab & Co use to work at Accu-Blend and took the recipe, LOL. I had not experimented with that many waxes at that time so I didn't even realized just how good that Coco83 wax was.
  14. Now that you mention it, I've been testing out some different IGI waxes and for the most part I think I like them, other than having to deal with the ones that are in hard slab form.
  15. Also @jfc, do you use dye in your products? If your dye has a strong odor, that could be causing headaches too. Either way, a respirator is a great idea.
  16. Here's another one https://www.clearbags.com/custom-products
  17. Hi @earthfriendly. Check Papermart and Nashville Wraps. Don't know if Avery or Vistaprint has those bags or not.
  18. Hello @ammd and welcome. There's a lot of nice, funny and helpful people on here and great information. To help you find suppliers and maybe some local ones, you should take a look at this post. Enjoy!
  19. Like a fine aging wine, they get better with time. I know I need to get a life and get out of the house more, (LOL) but I get excited when I come across an old candle that has a scent I love. You open that beautiful jar and the wonderful scent swirls around your nose and you can't help but smile.
  20. Just throwing this out there for everybody. If you want to shop now and avoid shipping and if you live near a Michael's or JoAnn's they have candy, soap and baking molds on sale regularly. Molds range from $1.50 - $12 or so and you have the option to shop online and then go pick them up for free.
