  1. Geesh, they want anywhere from $2 all the way up to $6 something per embed, that's just crazy!! :shocked2:

That is why I want to know how to make it black myself!

My friend loves cameo and patchouli So I am making her soaps just like in the pic scented with patchouli for her birtday. But I hate patch and now my house and hand are stinky.

  2. I had problems with Avery when I first got it. The lables were not printing in the center. It is like PA said, if you calibrate your printer that should help. I have never gotten mine to be perfectly in the center, but no one seems to notice that they are off center except for me and a couple of people that I know who are anal about that kind of thing. Also, this seems crazy but it seems that there is a top and a bottom to the sheets, when I stick them in one way they are more off center than if I stick them in the other way. Decide which end is wich and label the papers to show top and bottom on 2 sheets and make sure it is the same end that you label as top on both sheets. Then try priting one out by putting the top in first and one by putting the bottom in first. They say they are supposed to be the same, but in my printer, that seems to be the case. But, I always could be crazy. That is a common diagnosis among these parts. :)

  3. I did a search on the forum and did not find a recipe for apple cider soap. When I googled it I found this

    Apple Orchard Cider Soap

    6 lbs. vegetable shortening

    12 oz. can lye

    4 cups apple cider

    3 teaspoons honey

    2-3 teaspoons nutmeg

9 teaspoons MULLED CIDER fo (from Linda @ Sweet Cakes)

Make as usual only dissolve the lye in the cider as opposed to water. Heat the honey with the oils and then use a hand blender to emulsify the honey so it doesn't separate. I mixed the oil and lye at about 100degrees. At light trace I added the nutmeg and MULLED CIDER fo.
