  1. I ordered their crafter choice coloring and they're great!! I love them. Only thing is...for deeper colors (I use soy) I have to use alot. But they are good colors. Dani
  2. web site link please...lol I'm puzzeled on abbrev. this one new to me....lol thanks Dani
  3. I would get a candle kits from companies like BCN as posted above me. get yourself a presto pot from walmart which is 20 bucks to melt your wax. get yourself a scale to help weigh out oils and wax so forth. stay away from hobby lobby and micheal's wax stuff if you plan on seriously making candles and learning. u can get jars in canning depts in any stores...start with jelly container jar. HTH Dani PS..IF YOU CAN..TAKE THAT STUFF BACK TO THE STORE AND GET YOUR 35 BUCKS BACK. LOL
  4. usually when u make tarts ...it's more f/o i would use what i make candles with..pour leftover into tart molds and when i do all tarts pouring...i do put more f/o in...it helps last longer. HTH Dani
  5. is 50/50 container wax?? it's prolly like butter?? no on tarts too soft! now if you mix in pillar with your 50/50 that might work! Test just a little bit and pour into mold and wait and see..if it's nice and hard and not slippery like..then you should be good to go. Dani
  6. I have done that, where If I didn't have enuf wax to fill up containers, I would either pour them into tarts molds. or I would pour them in the container, make new batch, cause I want to make sure the blend, f/o and color are exact, so then I would pour into the container. But when I make candles I don't color them. My customers perfers that...so I don't worry bout matching colors. LOL HTH Dani
  7. I use clear mailing labels and put on scents then i cut the bottom of it and sides and put it on front of my jars. and on the lid i put my company business info and all that with 2.5inches round labels. HTH Dani edited to add......u can get clear labels from office max, staples. now the round labels you need to get online. They don't carry these sizes labels.
  8. I Agree!! I Love Her Apple Cobbler...always My Number One Scent!! Lol Dani
  9. my most popular one is Tahitian Vanilla Spice from FOH it goes out faster than i can keep it in stock! Dani
  10. Definatly put the samples in zip lock baggies and business card...that's very professional and all. put them in pretty wicker basket on the table. don't be nervous...make sure you interact with ppl who comes to your tables. also when I did a show, i had a bottle that i would ask ppl if they'd like to sample it, rub it in their hands...it always brings in sales. HTH Dani
  11. Hi there, I'm fixin to make candles, as most of my oils are Daystar..lol I mainly make tarts stuff... I've used to make candles last year and it was with FOH oils. So I'm just gonna get my feet wet again!!! LOL Anyhow, I wanted to know if I'm on right track here. I have 8oz mason jars, Daystar oils, Bluegrass Soy and I wanna know if 62C would be a good starting point. Anyone who makes these candles have success with this wick? Thanks Dani
  12. YIKES.... you'll like this microwave!! i'm very happy with it... maybe if you do some begging, Santa will bring ya one for Christmas. Dani
  13. well i do it all the time, but i also have one of them fancy microwave that toast, grill, nuke...the whole 9 yards...so it has a metal rack to put in there to be able to grill, etc....lmbo forgot bout those plain reg. ones. had it for almost a year and almost 3-4 times a week, i put containers in there to melt the wax to get it out.... got it at walmart for 139.00 it's Sharp Microwave. very nice set up. Dani
  14. well if oven is out of the picture....what bout microwave?? heat the container for like a min....use hot pad or whatnot if to hot... then pour it back in the wax melter or pouring pot.... just a tip..before pouring your candles.... when adding colors to your wax. use a wax paper, and drip a bit of color wax on the paper and that's what your color result will turn out. if you don't like the color...add more color, if to dark...add more wax..lmbo hope that won't be a problem cause then you have to do math for f/o etc. HTH Dani
  15. Thank you for letting me know!! I'm gonna go order whip ones. Texabrats....why did it get moldy? liquidy? Should i add perservative to prevent this?? Dani
  16. I have that oil to and it smells very pineapple in it. once poured it all comes out, cake, pineapple like. it's very good. perhap try mixing little bit in wax and see if you smell pineapple...if not, then I would contact Stacy at Daystar. she has fabulous customer services. Dani
  17. from ky candle supply?? what is the difference between the 2? body glaze or body soy whip. i'm leaning more of butter, melt on your skin kinda lotion without the slick feel or more like where it feels like you're wearing suran wraps all over your skin LOL Thanks Dani
  18. for something that small....i would put them in 3x3 ziplock baggies and label the baggie. I know it's not the greatest idea. but for samples it would be. for retails, it would be hard to do... if you use a blank full sheet, and make your labels and then find a punch out circle in that size ....usually found in scrapbooking sections in craft store. HTH Dani
  19. ooops...sorry bout that... http://www.alabastercandlesupply.com/candleglassware.php?PHPSESSID=34332f376b0054937dac4cae1563e157 down at the bottom is where you'll find 8oz square mason jars. HTH Dani
