  1. I'm burning this wax now. Spiced Cranberry fo, liquid dye, no frosting. Poured in a votive glass at 110* with a LX 12 wick. Been burning for about two hrs with a 1/2" melt pool. Let you know what it looks like after cooling tomorrow. Also poured a square mason at 125*, it had some frosting where the neck tapers in. Used a CD 14 on it so I might have wicked too hot. Poured some tarts and they all look pretty good smooth but some frosting on them.

The votive cooled with rough flacky tops but no white line. Looks good to me. Will burn again tonight.

  2. The bottles these come in waste more color than making the candles. If you do buy them get yourself some bottles with glass droppers. Much easier to use unless you just leave the stopper top off all the time. Messy...

Depending on if you will be making very dark colors all the time I would say they will still last a long time.

I have some liquid colors (RusticEscentuals.com) that are over three years old.

  3. If your talking about the mini foil cup cake liners, then you don't need a pan to put them in. Just line them up, don't let them touch cause the wax with spill over the sides, and pour. I always put the liners on a tray first then pour my wax in. Because they have the foil they hold up. Poured many a tarts this way so I know they work with out a muffin type pan.

  4. I use to use GF 415 all the time, some times it had cotton seed and some times not. Depending on the cost of cotton seed. So I think they changed the number to 435 and it will have cotton seed all the time where 415 is just soy. At least I think that is what happened. I prefer soy with cotton seed some perfer 100% soy, I find all soy harder to work with so I swiched to 435 all the time. As far as KY goes I couldn't say what is what....
