  1. My reciept in Dec. has Eucalyptus Spearmint at $23.95 in March of '05 it was $17.95. In Aug. '05 Cucumber Melon & Sweet Pea were $18.95, Rosemary Mint was $17.95 in March and Aug. Remember Lori lowered prices when she did away with Dirt Cheap Scents but later she had to raise them.

Lori I need Cotton Blossom, now. Going to have to take it off my scent list for awhile....

  2. I use to use a blueberry from RA, can't remember what it smelled like. Only used it for embeds so throw wasn't a big thing for me. Just tried KY's blueberry and it isn't what I was looking for. Smelled more like candy to me. Want a real berry smell.

  3. Just got a request for a Blueberry Honeysuckle scent. Wholesale customer said she has had this scent from another candle company and it sold great. Well,I've never head of the combo but said I would look. I have Honeysuckle from BG so thought I would mix. Also need a blueberry for embeds so bring it on Grumpy, I mean Guppy, geessee.

  4. Yankee sold their paraffin tarts with a no electric warning label. That is till they started selling electric tart warmers. Now it's ok as far as Yankee is concenered. Of course they sell the non light bulb warmers so I'm sure they would say you couldn't use those. Next year bet they will sell the light bulb warmers and they will be the best thing going and the prettiest too.

I have had a punched tin electric tart warmer for about 8 years or more. Yankee was the only place to buy tarts at first. Sure glad I started making tarts and introducing electric warmers to lot of customers. Now they're hooked like I am...

  5. Your candle looks great, the first of many I'm sure. I did those kind of things for years before I started to research candlemaking. I thought wax was wax and a wick, what could be so different between them. OMG, wait till you start reading about wicks, talk about confusing. Since tapers are a hard wax I'm sure that is why it sunk so much. And it is my understanding with the harder waxes that you will get the sinking all the time. Read all you can and check out the soapmaking sites cause you might like that too.

  6. My first love was coffee candles. Bought one with the coffee beans and wax in a very thick glass bowl with a votive glass inside. Loved burning vanilla and coffee scented votives in it, Would melt the wax with the coffee beans. yummy. Then one day the votive cracked and since I'm a marathon burner I was in bed sleeping. Next day the wax had burned off and the beans were burning like coal. Haven't learned much since then just to not put coffee beans in my candles. Although I love them.

  7. I use GF soy with cotton seed, no scent no color. 15 mm tabs with a standard stem and the LX 8 wick. burns nice and slow with a smaller flame but not where it looks like it's going out. The 15 mm tab fits in the depression in the t-lite cup. The wicks you said you are using seem way too big for a little t-lite. I don't like a hot t-lite and one last about 7 hrs..... hth

  8. And there is that shinny beighish spongie stuff they put in potting plant dirt. I can never remember the name. It hardly weighs anything so shipping should be cheaper. It is in those nice envelopes that they sell at Cracker Barrel to use as a sachet or vacuum cleaner freshener. I looked this fall in WalMart and KMart but couldn't find it. Maybe in the spring it will come back out. Might have to find out the name and call some nurserys to see if they have it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about???? TIA
