  1. Got a reply from Chicago Paper..:yay:

    Hi Sharon,

Thank you for your interest in Chicago Paper Tube & Can Company. Yes, we do make these paper caps and we did make them for Sydney Hale. Does your jar measure exactly 3” (edge to edge)? We have a cap that measure approximately 3.085. That might work for you. I could send you a sample of this size and the next size up, which is 3.265. Please forward your address and I’ll get these out for you.

    Thank you,

    Rachel Turner

  2. The pic I posted above is a Dollar Tree jar and the tube in the picture that the lid came from is from Custom Paper Tubes. Can you email him that pic? Maybe he'd recognize the tube and know what size it is. Unless, they have more than one tube with that horse design on it.

I will send him that picture and tell him it is from a sample kit someone else got from your company. And she says it fits great. Just sent... so we'll see what he says. Thanks

  3. looking for a straight Whiskey scent. Checked search and there are no company's are recommended. Don't want Irish Whiskey or Whiskey Sour, they have too many other scents in them.

Also a Tequila FO sounds good. Has anyone heard of Moonshine Whiskey FO?

  4. Good afternoon Sandra,

Please let me know the size of Paper Caps that you would like to have a sample of from us.

I have attached a sheet with the available sizes and pricing.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks again,

I just received an email from them with a PDF file for cap pricing. 3" caps for 1,000 is $73.00 not including shipping.

Isn't that amazing, same company, different salesman, different answer. Don't think the sales guy I got an email from is going to send me a sample. But the jar I was talking about is from the Dollar Tree store. 1000 for $73. is not bad at all, the cheapest I have bought lids for it $.10 a lid and those days are gone.

ladysj, when you talk to him again, ask how they are shipped? If they are just thrown in a box they might get all bent up.

  5. Dave, I asked because I saw a candle with this type lid and it looks so classy. I'm sending the link where you can see a paper cap was used. Maybe not from your company but are paper caps sold separate? Thanks

    another reply

    Sharon,

The issue with the brown caps is that most candle jar tops are not consistant is size. On occasion we may get our caps to fit, but not very often.

  6. Room spray, I use to make my own.

For an 8 oz bottle: 1/2 oz FO & 1/2 oz Polysorbate 80, shake, 3.5 of distilled water & 3.5 alcohol 91%. I have some spray bottles that came with sprayers, the sprayers do not stand up to FO, even when diluted.

So check before you buy. All the rest of my sprayers work fine. Most have been bought from Majestic Mountain Sage.

  7. What about if you did clear imbeds chunks in Pink and a white MP base? You may not use MP but I saw a lady on YouTube that does this trick for FO that discolor. She does these scents in MP though.

My friend did this with lime Margarita, green CP and clear M&P for ice cubes on top with large salt crystals sprinkled on. It looked so good.

  8. I don't sell candles yet, but I got requests for a Hazelnut coffee scent. I tried Peak's Cappuccino Hazelnut and hated it, but might try it again sometime. I'm very impressed with Candle Science Hazelnut Coffee. LOVE IT!

I hate their Hazelnut too. But WSP's Vanilla Hazelnut coffee is wonderful and so is Hazelnut along with a little straight coffee from KY now sold at AH/RE. When I make any coffee scent I always add a little of KY's coffee just to have a stronger smell. It smells like burnt coffee OOB.

Anything chocolate has never sold for me.
