  1. It's great when it goes well & you get the results you want, hope you kept good notes so you can replicate it. sally.
  2. Cool hat & cute girly. I have to admire anyone who can crochet.....my brain just won't let me do it! Give me 2 needles & I'm fine tho'. Sally.
  3. Lovely bracelets, specially the pink, purple & red/pink ones. Sally.
  4. Ian, I get some supplies from Nat & she's a pleasure to deal with. Sally.
  5. Yes it's true... the cba takes forever to cure & then the throw doesn't seem to be as good as the cb135. I don't usually dye my soy so frosting isn't really an issue for me but I still had some wet spots with cba. I'm sticking with cb135 now, which is fine for me as we don't have so many suppliers to choose from over here. Sally.
  6. I saw one that came from Harrods in London, I think it was Aqua Di something or other & cost over £300 / nearly $600. It was big but not so stunning that I'd pay that kind of money....like I've got that much to spend on 1 candle! Sally.
  7. Are you over heating your wax, I've done that myself & it can make it smell wrong. Sally.
  8. That's really sweet, I'd try injecting it so it stays soft & fluffy. Sally.
  9. The roses aren't actually sitting in anything. The long stems have been bound together with florist tape part way then split into 4 & bound into seperate legs. These are then curled round a small eo bottle & splayed out to make the posy free standing. Thanks for all the lovely comments. Sally.
  10. Sorry I couldn't get both pics on the same thread
  11. We made these free standing for table centre pieces, My friend ties the bows cos I'm not so good at them.
  12. Thought you might like to see some buttonholes my friend & I are working on.
  13. They're really funky, your layering is really crisp looking too. Sally.
  14. They are both fab but I'd send the blue one. Sally.
  15. Looks good, rustics making is fun! Sally
  16. Take a look in the candle gallery there's some pics of what people (like me) have been doing with our new toys. You may have to go back a page or so, sorry I'm a bit crap at adding the right links. Also look in the co-ops page the rose co-ops have supplier details in the first posts. HTH Sally.
  17. You could be right about the Avon, I just poured it today & I know it smells like something in my past but I just can't place it. I used 1 1/2 oz per lb in my soy/para blend & 1/2 oz in 8oz ecosoya cb135, & it is strong, but I only had 2 oz so I've run out now & can't try it at a lower rate in pillars. Sally.
  18. Got up this morning & I could smell the med. fig throughout the downstairs of the house & that was with the kitchen door shut. CB the soap sounds yummy....the kids will have to go find someone elses bathroom to use cos I might just stay in my tub for days! Poured my Black Canyon today, again in soy/para blend, also in Ecosoya CB135....it's very strong & a good masculine scent, reminds me of something but I can't quite figure out what. All the Peaks fo's I've tried so far are winners but the budget isn't very great so I'll still have to be very picky with my selection. Sally.
  19. Poured my Mediterranean Fig in a soy para blend today & it's gorgeous, can't wait for it to cure so I can burn it. That ones a definate on my list. Sally.
  20. You could try citronella e.o I sometimes put a couple of drops on a cotton ball & put it in my pocket if I'm wearing shorts in the summer. I think it works...either that or I just don't taste as sweet any more! Sally.
