  1. I'm happy with NG's blueberry muffin. It's very cakey and sweet smelling, with the sweet blueberries thrown in there too. If you want something more blueberry-ey, CandleScience's Blueberry Cobbler was great too. Both are very strong. -Kristi
  2. The sage sweetgrass and cedar is very sagey oob, but mellows to mostly sweetgrass in wax. I doubt it's the same, as much as I love it! -Kristi
  3. Have you tried Wildberry Zinger Tea from BCN? It doesn't have a tea smell, but is very strong in soy. -Kristi
  4. They are clear- like others said, be sure not to smudge, and clean the surfact you're sticking it to of fingerprints first too! Also occasionally one of the labels isn't quite cut all the way through, so be careful pulling them off. Most are fine though- just 1 per sheet or so. -Kristi
  5. Ditto on NG's - YUCK!!! Old lady perfume... Glad to see these good ones- peony is one of my favorite smells! -Kristi
  6. Just did bath salts and whipped shea with the Lavender Vanilla.... am waiting for oils/ lye to cool for CP (don't look for pics as my bars work wonderfully but look ugly!- not to mention I'm pouring my smallest batch EVER- 1/2 lb!). Poured a half lb of wax yesterday for a just under 8oz candle and a just under 4 oz candle. I'm really liking all I'm smelling! (and am I ever stretching to make this fragrance go!!!). -Kristi
  7. S'all good.. I'm over it. I was just very surprised since everyone always gushes over them. The last time I placed an order I was never sent a shipping notice, so it surprised me when I had a glitch this time too, based one everyone else's experiences. I don't tend to have big orders from places outside my UPS zone. I only go outside for certain FOs or little stuff I can't find somewhere else. I AM addicted to Wildberry Zinger Tea and will be hogging my 2 oz all for ME lol.... -Kristi
  8. YES!!! My only problem is that I only got one ounce! It's an awesome scent that would make a great gift basket. I think of the name "Sweet Dreams" when I smell it. I've only used in wax (464), and haven't burned it yet. Still curing... just poured yesterday. I poured it and Sage and Pomegranate. I'm loving both of them. I would love to do the Lavendar Vanilla in soap, butter, salts, and the candles... it would be perfect for ALL of them. -Kristi
  9. *My* problem is that their UPS shipping calculator must be old, cause it was $9.18 for shipping instead of their estimate of $7.47. And not an email in sight about the change. A much heavier order shipped from them 8 weeks ago and was more than a dollar cheaper shipping. Lots of people are gonna be surprised by this because of the sample sale right now. They also only send out an email with the total charge to the credit card. I wasn't told why my order that should be $19.35 was $24.77. They messed up a few of the oils' prices and raised the shipping, but since it's not itemized, there is no way to know what happened without calling. -Kristi
  10. They *do* say: Shipping Cost/Weight is a close estimate and may vary due to product size and density. So it is an estimate... I just didn't consider a change of more than $1 being close when the shipment was small to begin with. However, if UPS has raised the rates for small, light packages, maybe their cart hasn't been changed to reflect this. I just have to remember that if something says it's shipping for $7.50, it really means over $9.... ugh. Lesson learned- order more. Way more. And no, I was never contacted with the shipping change and since I was overcharged for other parts of my order too, it was impossible to tell until I called. Their order processing stuff does NOT say the prices for the individual items, just the total charge to credit card. It would be very helpful to be able to see it broken down. Telling me they were charging me $25 for 12 $.99 samples and shipping was crazy. -Kristi The really bad thing is that everyone comments how expensive BCS shipping is compared with BCN's and is ordering from them instead. I got news for you.... it's not any cheaper, as far as I can tell.
  11. I shoulda read here before posting in fragrances... I had the same problem with BCN this week. And they didn't apply the discount to some fragrances. AND the UPS shipping charge was way under what they charged me. AND they only wanted to refund me their mistake (non discounted FOs) via store credit... I told her not with that shipping charge! Ugh... whattamorning... -Kristi
  12. Well, I ordered my FOs last Friday. But as much as I love them, I don't think I'm gonna order any more from them. First of all, when I was charged, the discount wasn't applied to all the oils. BUT the terrible thing (to me) was that since they told me that they won't ship FO's via USPS anymore (no priority allowed on them), the estimated shipping was also wrong. The estimated UPS shipping was $7.47 (high, but I budgeted for it, so whatever)... BUT the thing that irks me- the actual shipping was $9.18!!!! And there's no way to know what it is until after they've shipped it and I've been billed! *To me*, anything off by more than a dollar on less than 2 lbs, is WAY off. I bought 12 OUNCES of FO for crying out loud. Then to make it worse, I had to INSIST on a credit card refund as they wanted to adjust for in-store credit only. NOT after that! HELLO! I used BCN because their shipping was LOWER than BCS.... and things I've ordered in the past, the shipping was correct. Grrr...... not a happy camper here.... but also fair warning to watch your charges on this one- they aren't playing fair. -Kristi Just checked and shipping in January for 2 EXTRA lbs was $1 LESS.
  13. They are constantly refilling, so most out of stocks are in by that evening. Try emailing them that you'd like it added if possible. I learned that this time... use the comment section to put your requests in. -Kristi
  14. No doubt. Just saw the post on the Bittercreek FO sale and my first stop was my credit card website to see how much I could buy. I shouldn't have spent any, but I did anyway... -Kristi
  15. NO!!!! ARGH!!! BnL- Iris and Fern; Sage Sweetgrass and Cedar BCN- Wildberry Zinger Tea, Honey Coco Mango -Kristi Gosh, I'm trying to order, but someone's hogging all their bandwith... lol... hope we don't break it...
  16. Got mine this morning! (After stalking the mailman for 2 days). I got 11 samples, but only because Cranberry Marmalade, Rain Water, and Black Currant and Nectarine were out of stock when I ordered... otherwise I would have gotten them too! OOB, all are great. I'm curious about Lime Cooler in wax as I seem to have bad luck with realistic lime... I love the Strawberry and the Peach. Mediterranean Fig smells good, but it wasn't a love it scent for me (oob only!). My fav out of the bunch is Sage Pomegranate... Lavendar Vanilla also smells great! -Kristi
  17. OK, I'm eating my words. I pulled this back out and lit it today (in the baby's room, no less) and I just realized it smells JUST like Love's Baby Soft products. Now I'm liking it. So ignore what I said earlier, please!!! (Hey, I can admit when I'm wrong and I was WRONG!!!... it doesn't smell like a kids room does, but it does smell like a kids room should!). -Kristi
  18. I emailed them and was told I should get it tomorrow- they took an extra day because I ordered one of the first business days after they added USPS. Trying HARD to be patient!!! -Kristi
  19. Depends on what you're looking for- Bergamont a common misspelling of the name for Bee Balm, a flower that attracts butterflies and honeybees (also correctly spelled bergamot). Bergamot is a citrus fruit. They are unrelated and smell completely different!!! -Kristi
  20. Well, when I first poured a sample of it, I told my mother that there is no way there is any child's room in the WORLD that smells like that. I WISH! Maybe a 1950's children's room... lol... No, today it's more like stinky gym socks and sticky candy wrappers... I have 6 kids... I KNOW! lolol... It's not a bad smell. Just not a kid smell. Very light floral of alyssum and violets with a powdery scent to it. It would be great in soap too. -Kristi
  21. I just always had ugly tops lol... I have since learned that if you want to do a second pour but need to use your pour pot while the candle sets up, you can pour your extra wax into a silicone mold (like the ice cube trays from Target). Then you pop a couple in the pot when you're ready for them and melt them back down to repour... I could NOT heat gun C-3 without bad frosting for whatever reason... I ended up switching to GB 464 and haven't looked back... well, except for when I think of the cold throw of C-3.... -Kristi
  22. I have several people who cannot do any scent. I think unscented is a good idea. I'd hate to have people leaving the reception all stuffed up and watery... lol... -Kristi
  23. When I used C-3 I poured HOT... like over 160- I usually poured that one at 175. No cooling off after adding FO. -Kristi
