  1. you could always leave the samples in the back and if someone asks to sample something, you can pull it out and give them a sample.:undecided
  2. I use the my local grocery bags or walmart bags. They work wonders!!
  3. I really thought they would be a huge success at yesterdays show but I only sold 3 of them.
  4. Even though the hours were long (9-4) and I was tired and sick, we did very well making 7 times our booth fee. All the other venders were complaining they didnt make any money and when they asked me how I did, I simply said "oh, I did okay" There was a melt n pour team about two rows behind me that packed up early. The two came to my booth snooping away...didnt even introduce themselves. Then they sent another lady to snoop around. And then, one of them actually asked me who was my supplier! Biggest sellers were.... Anything that was scented Angel....completely sold out! All votives - sold out of them too! and very shocking, I sold a bunch of unscented soap (all 3 types). I almost sold out! Sorry I forgot to bring my camera. I have another show on Thursday night and a two day show on Sat and Sun so I will take pictures then.
  5. I was reading an online article which indicated that 63 percent of online retailers will offer free shipping option to gain sales this holiday season. So, my question is, has anyone offered free shipping during the holidays? Does it really lure more people to your site? And as a shopper yourself, would you change your mind and not purchase an item if you found out a site did not offer free shipping?
  6. Mine ends on Tuesday. It lasted 10 days.
  7. Just add some TD and it will stay off white:grin2:
  8. I do also. I usually put them in the foil packets. I think they weigh up to 1/2 oz each. I apply a clear rectangle label on the front with product info including ingredients.
  9. I got these containers from SKS and thought I could dress them up with some stickers. The wax is white and scented Mistletoe from bittercreek. I made them in 3 scents. Mistletoe, Cranberry spice and Cinnaberry.
  10. Im putting together a few wholesale packets to send to a few stores. I have some display shelves from the store that I would love to get rid of. I would like to offer it to the wholesale vendor if possible to use in their store. Now, the question is, do most of you offer it free with a certain dollar amount of sales or do you charge them a flat rate for the display shelving unit? TIA, Carmen
  11. A size like that would be grounds for ordering through the manufacturer themselves. Try the following... http://www.iftfragrances.com/ or http://www.belle-aire.com/
  12. Yes, the soaps are indvidually wrapped in clear cello wrap with the product label on the back of each soap. I was thinking about shrink wrapping them but what a pain that is to remove!
  13. If its a tiny sample, I put it into a poly bag and label the bag with full product info including ingredients.
  14. Love the display. Congrats on your sales:yay:
  15. You can always get some inexpensive shelving especially at ikea! I use to line mine with freezer paper. Turn the soaps every week.
  16. Have you searched on the soap dish? There are a ton of recipes there that you can try.
  17. My body butter is a much thicker and richer version of my body lotion. I use more oils and less water for my body butters.
  18. If you ever thought giving free samples was a waste of money, here is proof that they are not! Directly from an email, a customer of mine wrote... "Hi Carmen, I placed an order a month or so ago and you included a great sample It was a scented body (soy?) lotion. I think it was labeled Angel or something like that. I loved it. Tell me what it was so I can order more"
  19. Here is our olive blossom. I used some glitter on this top as well. My customers really like all the glittery soaps:grin2: No more plain jane for me:p
  20. Next is yummy Grapefruit Jasmine. This one is a good seller for me. I decided to use some mica for the color but then it turned out too light so I brushed some mica on top and brushed some onto the soap stamp as well.
  21. Next is basic Lavender - YUCK - but hey, it sells. This one has a little bit of silver glitter on top.
  22. Ive been soaping like a mad woman getting ready for the holiday season. This first soap is very pretty in person. For some reason, I cant get a good picture of it. Its got white irredescent glitter on top. Its scented Angel from bittercreek.
