I think Canwax is the way to go. If you live close enough, it saves alot on shipping when you can pick it up yourself. Wax and jars can be very heavy.
That's where I get my supplies from. I'm only 15 minutes from there.

When you buy the coconut oil at the grocery store or Wally World, is it a liquid like cooking oil or is it in solid form.

Where do you buy coconut oil? Do you have to get it from a supplier. I have heard that you could get it at the grocery store but I can't find it.

This is how I make crumbles. I pour a thin layer of wax on a cookie sheet, and when it starts to get a little set up , you take a paint scrapper or a pastry cutter, and you start scraping it up and chopping into crumbles . This might not be what your looking for but that's how I do it. I've read in different threads that some people use an electric hand held mixer to whip it, but I've never tried that method. Hope this helps. They are fun to make.

Thanks Soapmom, that's the one.

Hope you can help me here. A few years ago I made some gag gifts in a zip lock bag. There was snowman poop and all the other poops, but there was one for PMS, and you put smarties or M&Ms in the bag . There was verse with it too. I'd like to make a few and can't find it. Does anyone have a link to share?
I tried Google, but all I can find is the poop ones. TIA

Ok, I understand now. Thanks

Now when you are poking the hole for the wick, do you make the hole all the way to the bottom of the jar or just a little way down. Hope this makes sense.AuntieS

I believe I read somewhere that the "GLAD" containers are all made of polypro. They would great for storing tarts if you didn't want to package right away. And they come in all different sizes

Could you pm me a copy too. Thanks

Is this wax just for containers

I know that soy wax is a little softer than paraffin, just wondering what you are all use for packaging. When I package mine in the cello bags, they don't hold up too well.

Are these made of wax or aroama beads???

I just use a piece of heavy gauge wire and make a little hook on the end, push the wick in and use the hook part to pull the wick back up. you could even use an old wire coat hanger (non painted)

What about silicone molds. I always have some residue left in them. Does anyone use the baby wipes on them

If you push on the base of the wick into the wax, I don't find that if there is mushrooming, that it falls of in the wax.You just have to be a little careful, then the next time, before you light it, then trim your wick and your good to go. I hate the smell of the smoke you get when you blow out your candles, if I can't find my wick dipper, I will take it outside and blow it out

Instead of blowing out your candle, take something and dip the wick into the melted wax and then pull it back up straight. You won't get any smoke and you shouldn't get any smell either. There are places that sell wick dippers for doing that, but I just use a piece of heavy gage wire and make my own,

I'm not sure where to get the aluminum bottles but you can get the colored ones at www.canwax.com It's located in Mississauga, Ontario Canada.
I live in Mississauga, where are you from.

If the only problem is that it smokes when you put it out, then instead of blowing it out, just take something like a paper clip or even a fork and dip the wick into the melted wax pool and pull it back up straight. No smoke!!

Wouldn't the fragrance smell up your oven. How would you get the smell out?
