  1. i hope you already cut it when i was soft. that block sure does look pretty and i would hate to hear that it crumbled.
  2. just make sure you insulate it very well to reach full gel and use suran wrap on top.
  3. Peaks has a pretty good straight Patch FO.
  4. WOW, now that is my kind of soap. makes me want to go do some layering.
  5. actually this is the only way I make mine. Once I pour into the mold, I put in the oven on warn for 25min, the batch will harden up fast. Then I remove and cut right away when they are still warm so my blade is able to cut through it like butter. Since you are pretty much doing the CP method and forcing gel in the oven, it is not being fully cooked. Which means the saponification process will continue for a couple more days. So i let them site for a couple days and use.
  6. OMG OUCH I hope your nose heals fast I love the soft shades you always achieve
  7. Majestic Mountain Sage carries it. FYI its not pure liquid, its still a bit solid and needs to be scouped out. But not nearily as solid as the mango butter.
  8. apricot meal is much softer than just the regular gound version. Oregon Trails carries the meal.
  9. Pomegranate Henri Bendel BBW Type from Candlewic OMG soooo good
  10. IMO if you up the e-wax, you can really feel a waxy film on your skin.
  11. that is sooo wonderful to hear.!!! :highfive: I think the other balm separated because of the beeswax they used as the emulsifier. i know its more natural but it just doesnt work as good as e-wax.
  12. I use freezer paper to put on top. but i also have a lid for my mold that i put on top of the paper as well.
  13. yep, sounds like you didnt get a good emulsion. Your e-wax may haved cooled down to much before you started mixing. Also it helps to add hot water instead of cold water. once you have whipped for a while, then you can start putting it in the freezer to speed up the cooling. But at first you want to make sure everything is pretty warm/hot in order for it to mix properly and get a good emulsion.
  14. Violets and Lime kicks butt Honeysuckle Jasmine Sunwashed Linen these are the only ones i have tried so far
  15. also make sure to cover and insulate your soap after you pour into the mold. this will help prevent the white spots (called ash)
  16. I belive it. It probably took a few burns for the sides to catch up but once the flame was burning further down in the jar, it heated up real nice. but lets get some pics too. :highfive:
  17. going green can mean a lot of things. organic, recycle, reuse, natural, etc. i suppose if you make your candles in recycled or recycable jars, that could be a start. Or use soybean or vegetable wax that is made with organic soybeans or vegetables.
  18. I have an EO blend of Eucalyptus Lemon and it smells dead on like citronela. I suggest Eucalyptus Lemon EO
  19. hmmm, I am not sure what benifits you are trying to get from it. But it may be easier to just break open the capusels. I can find fish oil in large capsules and with only using 3% you may only need about 5 capsules.
