Hey carebear, let us know how you like this stuff. Maybe someone can get the company to gives us a bigger discount if we do a co-op!!!!! :highfive: :highfive: :highfive: :highfive:
the best way to rebatch is use a turcky roasting bag and boil it in water. This gets the soap hot enough to smooth out for re-pouring. Yes you will have to add the missing amount of oil in order to make it no longer lye heavy.
Another suggestion is to add your fragrance oil sooner. i find it blends better and smells stronger when added at a higher temp. dont let the wax cool down so much, add it with the color.
I have used this wax in the past and have been able to add up to 7% FO load without sweating. I agree with the above post, heat the wax hotter and add FO sooner. Dont worry the FO wont burn off if you add it right when you pull the wax off the heat.
I dont think you are able to cut the pie after you make it. I imagine it would break into pieces. They could have just made 8 individual slices with a single slice mold and put them together in the shape of a whole pie.
since her post was over a year ago, I am not sure if she will respond to your question. You can purchase snowtop fragranceoils at Indiana Candle Supply. They have a separate section for snowtop scents. They are mostly bakery type fragrances.
ditto that, Polawax is a vegetable e-wax and you can also use palm steric as your steric acid. Germall Plus, Liquid is a great preservative and containes no parabens
