  1. I alsoways wanted to try out a Birds of Paradise, I read the descriptions on Peaks and CandleScience. Does it smell like the description? Can you give me a more detailed description of this one?
  2. Does she has any type of medical skin condition?
  3. as soon as you start doing business under that name, you are legally trade marking it. You do not have to legally register it. I would contact them and see what they want.
  4. you have some nice oils there, do you mind if I suggest a recipe. I love creating new recipes. Lard 25% Coconut Oil 25% Shea Butter 5% Olive Oil 30% Wheat Germ 15%
  5. Alright, I will start with 1.5 pp. i had a few people request this scent so I am excited to test it. I am using c-3. If I dont get it to throw, they will have to have it in a bar of soap. lol
  6. can you let me know what percentage you used it at? as Karen also used hers in Soy. I wonder if a higher percentage should be used.
  7. I know a great one called Sand and Sea Spray from Candlewic.
  8. Oh man I have to try some of that sweet pipe tobacco. I love the smell of pipe tobacco. let me know how that throws.
  9. exactly!!! who cares if i ordered them first or not. Some people give great advise on how much to use per pound or how long to cure for. that is advise i could use even if i ordered first or not. I appreciate all the advise I got on these oils. Some of the advise was helpful, like who got what results with what wax, that wouldnt make me not order them. that would help me to use them better once i got them. I actually find pointless posts to be the ones where people go off on a rant rather than have anything helpful to say.
  10. cool i will check them out for sure.
  11. Oh I want one of those. I also agree about omitting butters in lip blams, it sure does get rid of the graininess.
  12. BC's Christmas tree is a straight pine scent. really nice.
  13. Thanks for all the feedback. I guess I picked some winners here. Kind of disappointed about the Sage and Pom., and Maple and Bourbon, hopefully I can get some kind of throw out of them, if not I will try them in my soap.
  14. Anyone have a great wholesaler for dried florals? I like to make floral arrangements and would love to find a wholesale spot to order some dried florals.
  15. Just placed my first order from them, anyone have any feedback on these, good or bad? Sage and Pomegranate Rain Water Clean Cotton Apples and Maple Bourbon Asian Amber Honeysuckle Jasmine Fig Forest Violet Lime
  16. Wax doesnt go bad in 6th months, you should be fine. Wax sometimes sits on the distributors shelves for longer than that. My last case was pretty dryed out feeling. The new case I have now is more oily feeling. Both still burn the same to me.
  17. Oh I love your home page. right away i get a fresh clean organized feel.
  18. Soaks, scrubs, bath salts. I may get slapped as well, but I dont feel I get any more benefit when I use Dead Sea Salt compaired to just Sea Salt. Actually I notice that Dead Sea Salt disolves faster than Sea Salt which makes it a pain in the butt when using in scrubs, since its desolves too fast for me to get a good scrubbing action out of it.
  19. C-3 is good for me. Great burn and scent throw with HTP wicks. I dont color mine, so i dont need to worry about frosting or wet spots.
  20. Mine is the exact same as yours. Oily and acne prone, very delicate. After speaking with a rep at Natural Oils International located near me, I have been experimenting with some new oils they suggested with low clogging probability, heres some info on them: Macadamia Nut Oil is a highly absorbable oil that is extremely nourishing to mature and/or dry skin. It is very high in palmitoleic acid which is very similar to the skin's own natural oils. Rice Bran Oil is one of the most gentle oils which makes it perfect for eye creams, baby products and light facial and body moisturizers for all skin types. It's an excellent source of natural Vitamin E associated with anti-oxidant properties. Also, these are good for the face: Grapeseed oil is especially good for people with problem skin as it almost never causes any adverse reactions for those with delicate skin. It is widely used as a massage oil and an excellent carrier oil. Grapeseed oil has regenerative and restructuring virtues which allow better control of skin moisturization. Rich in Linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid quite important for the skin and the cell membranes. Hazelnut oil is said to be an excellent choice for it's ability to tone and tighten the skin. It is used as well as a carrier oil and can be mixed with other oils for massage. Much like Grapeseed oil, it is especially good for face and body creams when you have normal to oily skin but still need that light moisturizing effect.
  21. I agree about using salt on the face instead of sugar. I noticed the ones I use with sugar, always clogg my pours and the salt ones dont. Could you share with me the percentage of E Wax you use in your emulsifing scrub? Do you also add a thickener?
  22. turns a lovely soft caramel color after curing
