  1. i would consider using the V-1 instead of the P-1.
  2. I also find that C-3 needs at least 10-14 days cure time before I get a good hot throw. I have learned to be patient with this wax.
  3. Tealights are totally expensive. Unless you can get everything local and buy in bulk
  4. You might want to try out Candlewic's Grapefruit Jasmine. This one was is real nice, no fuel smell. I would send ya a sample, but I am all out.
  5. Millcreek has some that work great in Soy and are Body Safe Gourmet Sugar Cookie, Chocolate Chip Cookie and Cookies for Santa (could be renamed).
  6. I think the orange looks great, it matches the color of the fruit on the OT website. BTW, you stated that first pic was taken 2hrs after pouring? How in the heck can you demold only after 2hrs of pouring? Is that HP?
  7. I really believe the best thing to do is not color them. Sure people can try and prevent the frosting for the time being, but I guarantee, if they sit on a shelf in uncontrolled temperatures, they will surely eventually frost. You should try also selling your product on the packaging. Come up with a unique container/label/lid so customers concentrate more on that rather than the color of the candle. A lot of high class soy candle companies sell soy candles in their natural color.
  8. people drill the hole in the candle after they un mold it.
  9. i agree. I have done controlled power burns just to see what would happen. so far no disasters with my wick/jar/candle combination.
  10. is the paraffin wax container blend? If so, you may want to pour hotter so you can get it to shrink a little in order to pop it out. Normally container wax is designed to stick to the container. when you mention frosting? are you talking about soy wax? if you use more than 1.5oz of FO per lb of wax, it will most likley sweat/bleed out of the top of the candle. It could also affect your wicking and make you have to use a larger size wick.
  11. I will be packaging all my cured soap in preparation for some upcoming craft show. FUN FUN
  12. you may have to wait a couple more days before you attempt to unmold it.
  13. Peaks has a marijuana scent called Mary Jane. Rustic Essentials has the Avon Dupe called Little Black Dress.
  14. no, probably not. You want to stick with white and clear oils as possible. Coconut, Palm Kernel, Plam, Soybean, Sunflower and stay away from virgin olive oil. try to get olive oil that just says "pure". I get mine from Costco and its pretty light in color.
  15. Millcreek Mediterranian Fig is great in Soap. I have also used Peaks Brown Sugar and Fig in Soy and it throws great. More of a brown sugar scent though.
  16. It depends on what you are trying to get from it. Lather or Conditioning? If you are using it for lather, maybe add some plam kernel oil, if you are using it for the conditioning part, maybe add sunflower. How much in the recipe does it call for?
  17. Tiny bubbles in the wine, make me happy, make me feel fine, tiny bubbles make me warm all over with a feeling that I'm gonna love you 'til the end of time. sorry i just had too :laugh2:
