  1. that sucks that it only came with one end. Mine came with two. You want to use the cap on the bottom of the tube and set it on the counter. pour your soap in and tape the other end up. leave it sitting straight up as it drys, i wouldnt try turning it on its side.
  2. oh crap, sorry about that, its 12 inches long. :embarasse :embarasse :embarasse I am able to get 12 bars out of it when i cut them 1 inch thick. Dont cut it.
  3. Wait a sec, now you got me rethinking the length. one sec.
  4. My mailing tube is 3" wide but only 8" long and I am able to fit 53oz of total weight soap inside perfectly.
  5. I think the yellow and white turned out grrrrrreat
  6. MMS has some http://www.thesage.com/catalog/UniqueItems.html

  8. I am really digging the color of Cucumer Mint
  9. Finally I was able to get the bright pink that I couldnt get from Oxides. I may try out a few other of their Crystal Colorants as well. I just love this color. Scented with OT Frosted Wine Berry. YUMMY!! This is a great berry scent, definitely a keeper.
  10. Here is a pic of the calabash gourds. They make bowls out of them in Africa. They need to line them with shea butter as they dry out so they dont collapse in and or crack. Was the guy really trying to pass them off as actual nuts? Maybe they just use them as cheap packaging? If what you are getting is pure unrefined shea butter, I really dont see why anyone would be upset about the container its in. It looks like it could hold almost 10lbs, so $25.00 for 10lbs of unrefined shea butter actually sounds pretty good.
  11. I hear that they have new batches of beigh and Ivory coming in soon. I think they are just trying to push out the left overs from a previous harvest in order to make room for a new one????
  12. its up to you, but I got both grades. Persoanlly I just dont see the point in using a higher grade for soap when the color and scent isnt going to come through the soap anyhow.
  13. thank you thank you. I cant wait to use it, its also a new recipe.
  14. http://www.fromnaturewithlove.com/soap/ColorAdd.asp From Nature with love has a Natural Tinting Herbs section
  15. I got an easy one for ya. With a 2lb mold, it cant hold 2lbs of oils. The 2lbs also has to include the water and lye amount as well as the oils. So the safest thing to do is plug in 16oz total oil wight batch into the soapcalc. http://www.soapcalc.com/calc/soapcalc.asp Coconut (76 deg, solid) 25% Grapeseed 18.75% Lard 25% Olive 31.25% which totals to: Coconut (76 deg, solid) 4oz Grapeseed 3oz Lard 4oz Olive 5oz Lye 2.25 (5% superfat discount) water 6oz (26% lye concentration) Soapcalc qualities: Hardness 37 Cleansing 17 Condition 58 Bubbly lath. 17 Creamy lath. 20 Iodine 67 INS 146 Use an accurate electronic scale and follow Robins Tutorial: http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45126 The best thing to do is let it sit in the mold for a couple of days before you unmold it.
  16. OMG, that is sooo adorable :highfive:
  17. It turned out as expected. :highfive: (still have to clean the edges up)
  18. Yes they do!!!! Susan is always such a doll to speak to on the phone as well. I love calling and just chatting about her different FOs
  19. No I haven’t smelled any other supplier other than OT. I was kind of hesitating to even to order this scent at all because with the name of Green Irish Tweed, I had no clue what to think. And hearing that it was cologne that had been around for years, I was thinking some old spicy cologne. It sure does smell awesome though.
  20. thank you for the starting point on the e-wax and steric. Now was my understanding of the salts to oils ratio correct? About 2 to 1? also thank you for the heads up about the wax. i am going with MMS since they are the closest, and I will make sure to stick with them.
