  1. such great ideas....everything looks great.
  2. WOW, I can’t believe how quickly you master this liquid soap thing. geez those are absolutely beautiful. Is it just the bottle that makes it foam? Or do you have to change the liquid soap recipe?
  3. If I were you, I would cut them 1.5" thick. That should give you aprox. 9 bars. Maybe and extra sliver on each end. I usually cut mine 1" thick, but since your width and height seem a bit small, the extra .5" in thickness should compensate for it.
  4. I know one that throws strong in my C-3 Candlewic - Ulitmate fragrance section Blackberry Brulee: Juicy blackberries and ripe plums add an explosion of fruitiness to this exotic dessert treat. Warm drizzles of butter, hints of white chocolate, rich vanilla bean and spicy cinnamon shavings complete this gourmet sensation. they also have another that sounds real good, but I have yet to try it.... Mixed Berry Crumble: A rare treat of ripe raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries generously finished with sugary crumbles of white crusted cake.
  5. *super banana* *super banana* that looks totally yummy
  6. Castor has high conditioning numbers as well and gives an extra bit of silkiness. Castor helps with lather more than sugar does. Go to a drug store and I guarantee they have it. I am not sure if there are Walgreens or RiteAids in your area, but just ask the pharmacist and they will be able to tell you where it is. (usually where the laxatives are) lol
  7. thanks you guys, i know you will like it :embarasse :embarasse :embarasse
  8. Alright everyone, after tweaking and tweaking my recipes over time, I have finally chosen this one to be my recent favorite. Give it a try and let me know how you like it. Each one of these oils, I have chosen for a reason and they really do contribute a lot to this recipe. So try and stay with these exact oils if you can. Canola Oil 16.67% (can sub with Sunflower) Castor Oil 5.55% (do not sub) Coconut Oil 16.67% (do not sub) Olive Oil 16.67% (do not sub) Palm Oil 16.67% (do not sub) Palm Kernel Oil 16.67% (do not sub) Shea Butter 11.10% (can sub with Mango) (I usually make 36 oz oil batches, so thats why the percentages look a little funny.) edit: thought I would add the properties from SoapCalc as well Hardness 42 Cleansing 22 Condition 54 Bubbly lath. 26 Creamy lath. 25 Iodine 57 INS 143
  9. Heres another one I have been burning. This one is also wicked with an HTP 105 and this is its second burn. I lit this one 2-2.5hrs ago as well. As you can see there is still a bit of hang up in the corner, but it will catch up on the third burn like the other one did.
  10. A picture is worth a thousand words. This is wicked with an HTP 105. Here is a pic I just took of one I have been burning recently. I lit this one about 2-2.5hrs ago and I believe this is its third time burning. I usually fill my jars with 7oz of wax so you don't see a huge gap between the lid, but not all the way to the brim. I add .5oz of FO so it equals out to 7%. Dont give up hope with this jar and wax.
  11. I use this exact same wax, with this jar at 7% FO load and most fragrances work with the HTP 105. You need to be patient with this combination. I test in 4hr increments and usually reach a full melt pool on the second or third burn. Trust me the sides with catch up once the candle burns down and the glass will be clean with no hang up. I find I get less mushrooming and smoking with this size wick if I just learn to be patient. FOs with heavy cinnamon or vanilla requires a HTP 126. I also twist my wicks and this allows for the HTPs to burn more even.
  12. WOW!! That looks great. love it
  13. anything that has cirtus in it. Cool Citrus Basil Citrus Breeze Grapefruit
  14. I heat my c-3 wax to 190-195 and immediatly add FO and color, stir for about 60-90 seconds and then pour right away. Let cure for 2 weeks and it will have the best cold and hot throw. Candlewic also has a Red Hot Cinnamon fragrance as well in their ultimate section if you are looking for more of a hot cinnamon type. the cinnamon stick is more mild and i belive also has a pinch of other spices added to it.
  15. Candlewic has a great cinnamon stick that doesnt smell funky at all.
  16. Candlewic has some in their Ulitimate Fragrances section. I use c-3 soy wax and so far all the fragrances i have used from them have thrown great.
  17. ooooh thats going to look so beautiful. great job
  18. I was more worried that she wasnt cooling her lye and oils at all, and soaping with temps that are too high.
  19. I would be intered in knowing the temps of your lye water and oils as well. If you dont let them cool to room temp before mixing them together, trouble will happen.
