  1. YUMMY I be those smell as good as they look
  2. Nah, just leave it as it is and soap it. 2oz give or take is really not going to change the recipe that much to make a huge difference.
  3. wow that a lot of castor. usual recipes i see with castor are only 5%, but your recipe is 25%. and your coconut is around 30%. I ran it through the soapcalc and you are going to be getting a ton of bubbles with this bar. However your conditioning numbers look pretty good. Only one way to know for sure is to make it and use it. Take the plunge and let us know if its drying or not?
  4. this one looks great. i did one too last week but just colored it a light orange and used a round mold. yours looks much better with the swirls.
  5. Tried out Oregon Trails Bay Rum and added a splash of lime. This fragrance rocks!!!!!
  6. candlewic has a few fresh type ones that smell good, (located in their ultimate fragrance section) Clean Cotton Cool Water Country Clothesline Fresh Linen Cotton Blossom
  7. Have you tried Majestic Mountain sage?
  8. I belive this may have been talked about here before on the baords. It seems the formulist (sp?) from Calwax moved to a new company last year (Accu-soy). Swans has been carring this wax for some time now but never listed it on their website. I spoke to their formulist last year and he said he would try and get Swans to send me a sample, but I never received it. :( So glad that Swans is now starting to push this wax more, and hopefully it will be on theri website soon. please keep us up to date on your testing. heres another thread http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27551&highlight=accu edit: I just went to swans website and low and behold, its there
  9. those look great, i really like the asian sandalwood. lol at soap sitting in a frying pan.
  10. i am not understanding this post. Are you questioning her other posts?
  11. i am really diggin on the GIT
  12. very cute. so will you have candle warmer plates on the table to heat them? or are you just going for cold throw?
  13. if you look to the left side of this website, you will see a link with Basic Instructions of how to make a basic container candle with a jar. Use Soy wax instead of the wax they suggest. Different soy waxes have different heating and pouring temps, so you need to find out from your wax supplier what those temps are.
  14. when did you make the soap? maybe it just needs to sit for a couple of days to shrink a bit more.
  15. looking good, nice and smooth looking for your firsts.
  16. Cinna-Vanilla is a great one. AH/RE sells one and I think KY sells one too, or you can mix your own. I second the Vanilla Sandalwood and Love Spell. Also Little Black Dress smells better than Love Spell IMO
  17. did you line that with the funky foam?
  18. i really do like that blue one. what did you use for color?
  19. very very pretty, great job. color looks very smooth
