I have used RRD and HTP wicks Calsoy has two different container waxes which are one pour and need no additives. One is their CB3 which is Mostly Soy wax blended with some other vegetable waxes. I don’t know exactly what kind of other veggie wax, but it does not have any paraffin in it. They have another blend called CB2 which is soy based (usually 70%) with paraffin added (usually 30%). I am not exactly sure the amounts blended but those are the standard amounts I have seen with soy/paraffin blends.
i usually add a little brown or if you just want to use red, you would need to go up to 12 drops of EVO dye per pound of wax. 16 drops per pound would be the maximum to use before it starts clogging up the wick. When you add this much dye you may need to wick up one size as well.
very pretty, I love this scent. I made some last week but was afraid to color it cause I knew it would turn brown. It came out a light brown color and I was actually happy with it. But now I see yours and wish I would have colored it. :embarasse
I use a tablespoon to measure mine. 1tbl is equal to 1/2 oz FO most of the time. Some FOs are a little heavier than others, so you may get a little more than 1/2 oz sometimes, but I never have any problems measuring this way.
are you making melt and pour soap or cold process or hot process? colors for M&P will not hold up in the CP or HP method. Here is a site that sells colors http://www.thesage.com/catalog/index.html
