  1. I use the one from Oregon Trails,
  2. You should pour immediatly after you add your FO. I never get frosting after initial set up. it usualy does come later on after the second or third burn or if they have been stored for a while. But I always notice if I pour too cool and if they dry to fast, they always frost. Also only use 8 drops of liquid dye per pund of wax.
  3. oooh excellent swirls on the Arabian Musk, I want that mold.
  4. Alot of people on here use it. It is a hot pour wax and I too pour around 175. It needs a bit more longer to cure before you get a great hot and cold throw. 2 weeks at least, but its worth the wait.
  5. Some soys need to be poured hot and some poured cool. I dont think the FO will burn off if you add it at 175 and stir for a couple min then pour right away.
  6. i think there might be a co-op going on for tins. edit* oops just noticed that you probably cant access that area yet.
  7. pillar waxes have a higher melt point than container waxes do, therefore you would need a much hotter wick to burn it with. A hotter wick may also cause the container glass to get way too hot. I personally wouldnt use it.
  8. I am a earthy type person as well. However, during the holidays I cant get enough of Pumpkin Pie FO or Spiced Cranberry. Yummy
  9. smelly jelly is a candle type item, i dont think it is made with soap. bath jelly is what i have seen before that is made with soap.
  10. I love the items you have in there but with the items hanging out the sides, I would be worried that a slight bump could cause the picture frame or hurricane to get cracked. Do you have a larger basket to protect the items better?
  11. You can actually achieve the rounded balls by demolding your soap when its still very soft and then start rolling it into a ball.
  12. How long are you allowing each burn to reach a full Melt pool? I usually let each test burn go for 4hrs.
  13. Great job!!! Its not a bad swirl. Love the colors.
  14. Replace some of your coconut oil with palm kernel oil, they create the same big cleansing bubbles. Using too much coconut oil with make your skin dry and sometimes itch. Higher than 15% is not recomended. You can also use regular palm oil to harden up your soap, but it wont create big cleansing bubbles like palm kernel and coconut, regular palm will create a creamier lather. Also butter creates a creamy hard bar. Cocoa, shea or mango butters. If worse comes to worse, you could just resort to crisco or lard, they act simular to regular palm oil.
  15. I love those. super job. now i have an idea how to decorate my christmas tree this year.
  16. Now you will see how some scents can accelerate the trace.
  17. I have lost count on how many i have created and tired. I dont think I could ever settle on just one reciepe. I like to have a variety. A facial one, a body one, and extra creamy one and a castile one.
  18. I actually made my own make-shift risers using three FedEx large shipping boxes (they are free). Cut a couple of them up and re-shaped them to fit each tier and glued them on top of one another. Then covered the entire thing with kraft paper. check it out:
  19. I also tested the one from BCS. It does throw well (I use C-3) However I dont feel that its a true pumpkin cheesecake smell. It smells more like pumpkin and maple syrup.
