  1. woohooo, great job. Those bars came out beautiful..... Great combination of oils too. They should bubble like crazy and the hydro. soy makes a great hard white bar.
  2. yes I think I am hooked on the "white bar" look lately as well and I am having fun with adding the teas. I have gotten lucky by choosing FOs that do not discolor, and alot of Palm, PKO and Coconut help alot too.
  3. congrats on the final recipe.
  4. Wonderful scent!!! I also opened up a chamomile tea bag and dumped it into the batch as well.
  5. very very nice, looks great with the beads in it.
  6. too bad about the colors, but it looks like you were heading for the right idea. the candy corns on top still make it look good.
  7. fantastic colors, hope they stay like that, they match the scent perfectly
  8. great batches, i love the blue color you got on the curve one.
  9. Very nice on the second round. I usually make pillars right before I go to bed to let them cool while I am not conscience for that same reason. It’s kind of cool though, I always feel like a child awakening on Christmas morning. Jumping out of bed to see what kind of surprise I have. lol
  10. Oregon Trails has one as well *NEW*Orange Blossom *Neroli Type* http://www.oregontrailsoaps.com/fragranceKO.html
  11. looks like you got the hang of it now, those are great colors and swirls. wish i had a slab mold.
  12. One of my new favorite fragrances from Oregon Trails. Spring Mountain Mint, it smells like the fresh scent of Irish Spring but with a touch of mint. I also opened up a mint tea bag (blended with peppermint and spearmint) and poured some inside the batch. I think I may try opening a bag of Chai tea next time and blend it with Almond FO.
  13. great cranberry color. actually i think that shade fits the candy cane perfect. candy cane isnt really true red anyhow.
  14. Not sure which type of the Calwax you tested 6-7 years ago, but I tell ya, as far as all natural soy blends go, they are top notch. They may have also improved their formula since then. I think the only reason they aren’t being used by so many people is because they are only distributed in the west coast and are a little pricier than other waxes, (this is only my opinion of course)Pete, I must also compliment you on Swans. I have ordered there for almost 2 years and think you have great customer service. I also have to apologize about the comment of the Calwax being replaced. That part I kind of assumed since I saw you drop the Calwax price from $16.50 to $14 a slab. I thought you were trying to push it out the door or something. Either way, I am glad you are carrying both of them and am anxious to try the ACCU blends. Sorry you were forced to come on this site, but everythings just fine, just some anxious promoting going on here.....
  15. i would only use .5oz of the Peppermint EO in a 2lb batch. that stuff knocks your socks off. And especually if you are adding the crystals, its going to be even stronger. Sounds like a good blend though.
  16. I am pretty sure soy wax is softer than beeswax, so I dont think the sap values would be the same. But anyhow, MMS has soy wax listed in their Lye Calculator, so you can plug that in and get a proper result. I havent used it in CP, but have used it in lotion bars, lip balms and whipped butters.
  17. I am just speechless regarding the color and texture you achieved there. Simply amazing. As far a name, maybe....... "Sun Ripened Banana" .
  18. All of them look great. Theay all have very unique looks about them and do not look wrong what so ever.
  19. I think you may need a certain number of posts or be a member for a certain amount of time before you can participate in the co-op section. that may be why you cannot gain access. :undecided
  20. Lavender Litsea Cubeba Spearmint I find that these are the best blending EOs If you want a mint EO, use Spearmint rather than peppermint. It may smell too sweet on its own, but trust me, you will love it so much more when using it for blending. Litsea cubeba is the best type of lemon citrus EO IMO and Lavendar is just a must have.
  21. Calwax is a manufacturer in California. Swans (located in WA) is pretty much their only distributor to the public (for people like us that buy by the slab or case at a time). It seems that Swans may now be getting ready to carry ACCU instead of Calwax brands, but I am not too worried, since the original formulator from Calwax is now working for ACCU, so I am pretty sure their waxes will be similar to Calwax, if not better. ACCU has all natural soy blends as well as the parasoy blends.
  22. Oregon Trails has a great one, and doesnt discolor CP Soap or candles.
