  10. I think it looks great! I used Black oxide for the first time in Pink Pepperberry (from Backwoods) and it ended up being black goop on top of pink goop, not pretty! I haven't had time to play with it since! Great job. Steph
  11. I do like their base, as it doesn't contain alcohol. The one recipe I did find (I think it was the Herbarie) had a preservative (Germaben, I believe). The one from RJ's doesn't contain water, just witch hazel and aloe juice. I am going to play with recipes and then I will decide which preservative to use, unless I decide to go with the base instead. Thanks for all your help! Steph
  12. Thanks craft1. I am playing around with ideas in my head. I just placed my order with WSP for some liquid silk and for some polysorbate 20. I will check out the herbarie's recipe. Steph
  13. Sorry, ideas for making your own body spray. I found a recipe for aloe silk body spray on Herbalsoapsbyrj. Just not sure if I need a preservative or not. Steph
  14. I am placing a fairly large order (for me anyways) for bath and body. I was gonna order a 1 gallon jug of body mist and just sell the 2 oz sprays for now, but I am trying to keep my costs down a bit. I have CP soap, body wash, and lotion, but I know that I like a set with the spray in it too. I may wait until close to summer to order the body mist, when it gets hotter. Any ideas? Steph
  15. I wouldn't even begin to think they were made of wax! Aesome. Steph
  16. I was thinking the flowers looked like sponges too, very cool!!! Love the Berry Wine,I think the colors look great. Steph
  17. Well, I just tasted it, and it tastes like soap with no zap. I definitely can't sell it, but would it still be okay to use? Steph
  18. I figured it might be lye heavy. Steph
  19. I think it looks nice, even though I don't know what it smells like. Steph
  20. Okay, I made my second batch of Cool Waters last night (my first batch was beautiful, with lots of blue swirls). I used Michelle B's Shortening and Shea recipe, which I have used 2 other times. It does move a bit fast. I used room temp oils and lye. Well, I had to slap the soap in the mold and try to get my blue in before it made soap in my pouring cup. I used full water. I cut it in the mold (like misty creek) while it was still a big soft. Well, I unmolded it this morning and it is hard as a rock, and crumbled when I tried to trim it up. Any ideas? I guess I will just have to use my other recipe for this soap. I also made some Dogwood (BCS) and it turned out fine, except for my pink swirls turning purple, but they aren't that dark, so it doesn't matter much. The cool waters is fine other than the crumbling. Steph
