  8. That is what I started out with and the soap was great!!! The veggie oil is pure soybean, so you are fine there. You shouldn't have a problem finding the coconut, I have yet to find palm in a local store. Good luck in your new venture! Steph
  9. Very pretty! A very different take on others I have seen done in Pink Sugar. Steph
  10. Not sure if there is a benefit from the tomato juice, but I think I read somewhere that it adds a nice peach color!! Maybe using it also adds the the garden appeal??? Steph

  12. I have heard of several types of garden soap. One had cornmeal and citrus EO's in it and I also have a recipe for sun dried tomatoes and basil (I think). I will dig it out later and post it. Steph
  13. How cute! I bet they will be a hit. Another thing to try (not in the near future). Steph
  14. I think I will try the coffee for my water next time. I have also heard of using the citrus oils as well (just don't have any on hand). Steph
  15. I think it will be okay. It was cool when I cut it. Next time I won't let it go through gel. Steph
  16. I have made a few batches of CP and none of them gelled. I made the kitchen soap yesterday and sat it on the coal burner to cook for a bit. It was covered with cardboard, a towell and an old rug. It did gel after a bit of time (at least 3-4 hours). I uncovered it this morning and it still looked like it was in gel. Should I have left it a bit longer? I unmolded and cut it and it is very soft and still pretty transluscent. Can it be saved???? Here are some pics:
  17. I made some kitchen soap today. I didn't have E's original oils, so I used lard, olive, PKO, coconut and castor. It looked good on soapcalc. I used hazelnut coffee for my FO. I also had to sub some flax seed for the poppy seeds, since I didn't have any. I made a 1.5 lb batch. It is sitting on our coal burner now, so hopefully I can cut it either tonight or tomorrow. Steph
