  1. I've bought it from WSP, Tony's, and Aztec. I think WSP has a very good dupe, and is more coconut than lime. I'm very happy with it and will only buy it from WSP now.
  2. I think this may be a good idea in theory, but not in practicality. The problem I see happening is that is could be possible for this other company to come up with a really crappy design that makes the whole candle look amaturish. Her name will still be listed on the candle as the manufacturer and people would assume she did the crappy artwork as well. Are you planning on printing the labels yourself, or were you going to use a professional printer? One thing to keep in mind if you are comparing pricing for professionally printed labels, but you're printing them yourself, you better be able to produce a professional looking quality label.
  3. You're right, no one will recognize the Y,E, and S unless they're told. Regardless, I think it's an excellent logo. You can't go wrong with clean, simple lines.
  4. Who uses the Yellow Pages anymore? I look up everything on the internet.
  5. Are you asking people where to get them, or are you just making a statement?
  6. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7523693199&ssPageName=MERC_VI_ReBay_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT The item on ebay is for store hours, but they also do custom work. I've never used them, so I can't vouch for them, I just remembered running across them when I was looking for signs myself.
  7. I have also bought Pink Sugar from ICS. It's a best seller for my lotions.
  8. Yeah, try adding an additional oil to your mix. You might cut your cocoa butter and shea butters to 1/2 their weights, and make the difference up with an oil--olive oil or whatever.
  9. I didn't realize you weren't printing them yourself. Here are a couple of places to check out: thesage.com pvsoap.com
  10. I can only tell you where NOT to get it...Aztec.
  11. Columbusfoods.com (in IL) has good pricing on oils (not fragrance) and shipping is not outrageous (at least to my area). Tonysfragranceoils.com (GA) has good fragrances. I think Aztec is a good source for fragrance oils too.
  12. Are you putting them on the lid or on the jar? I get labels from onlinelabels.com.
  13. You'd be surprised how much stuff you can find in one of those $1 stores. I've seen wire garlands there for just about every holiday. Party supply stores can also be a good source for stuff like that.
  14. 1 - London Lemon Curd = California Lemon Lemon Grove Lemon Tree Lemon Vanilla 2 - Brown Sugar & Fig = Carmel Fig Penuche Fig 3 - Black Raspberry Vanilla = Raspberry Noir & Vanilla 4 - Drakkar = I'll have to give that some more thought...that's a tough one.
  15. These are not nearly as cute as what you posted, but they might work if you can't find what you're looking for. Or, you may be able to have them build a set for you if you send them your photo. http://www.specwood.com/shelves.htm
  16. Our Chamber does ribbon cuttings which always get posted in our small town newspaper. They also do the after hours dinners, hold monthly meetings, golf tournaments, sponsor scholarships, and have a directory of members on their website.
  17. I know you've already made your decision, but I wanted to add that I think you did the right thing. As a store owner, I hate it when I receive literature that doesn't include pricing. That means I have to waste my time calling the company to find out what it is. Often, I don't even bother. I think it's a matter of convenience for your customer to list your prices on the brochure. Not only that, but it also is a way to prevent you from spending all of your time answering calls or emails about your prices.
  18. It's a different look for labels--you don't see them too often with a text background. The only suggestion I would have is to switch the font for the weight. I wouldn't use the same heavy font. Perhaps you could use the same font as you did with the ingredients.
  19. Everyone keeps talking about "Becky"--where is her site? Thanks.
  20. I have been on a search for that as well and found it here: http://chemistrystore.com/soapscents.htm Lebermuth carries it and I got a sample from them. It didn't smell anything like the Yankee candle. Someone at the Chemistry Store told me they got theirs from Lebermuth too. When I told them I wasn't impressed with the Lebermuth sample I got I was told what they have has been reformulated and supposedly smells great. I bought it without even smelling it, so I hope he's right!
  21. Does anyone have Galleria or Bellevue fonts they could send me? I was trying to send a file to a printer to get some business cards printed and the man told me I would have to send the fonts as well as the artwork. I don't know how I can use them in my art, but not be able to find them anywhere. I'm stumped. I found the other fonts I needed, but not these two. I was supposed to email them this afternoon, but that deadline obviously passed when I couldn't find the fonts! If I can get the file to him first thing in the morning I'll be ok. I would be very grateful if someone can hook me up! You can PM me for my email address.
  22. What idiots who did that. Are they supposed to be promoting their "cause" or something? Maybe if everyone spoke the same language it might have some significance to somebody. As it is, it only serves to irritate me.
  23. What supplier was it? That's just the problem with doing business over the internet--everybody and their uncle can open a website and post a million different items and have super low prices, but when it comes to customer service, efficiency, or dependability--FORGET IT! In the jobs I've held you didn't treat customers that way. You had time frames to process orders. For anything to take more than three days to leave a facility is inexcusable in my head. I prefer to do business with vendors who state things ship within 24-48 hours. I know sometimes backlogs can occur, but why not post something on your site it that's the case? I planned on placing an order with a company today and they told me it will be 4 or 5 days before it even ships out of the warehouse, and then because it's across the country, it will be another 4-5 days before it arrives. I said no thanks. Sorry about your problem. I hope you can find a different supplier that can give better service.
  24. Do you have any idea what size or shape you want? Are you talking large as in trashcan or giftwrap storage size containers, or are you thinking more like bucket size? Big Lots usually seems to have a wide assortment of affordable plastic products.
