franu61
Maybe someone can help me?? I am using regular address labels on my candle tins. For years they worked just fine. I stick them on the side of the tin..Lately they are coming off. I've tried adding glue to the label, wrapping a rubber band around the tin and label to help the label grip and it doesnt help. Any ideas?
craftsbychris
I read somewhere to cover it with packing tape. Haven't tried it myself.
joym
Maybe the tin has some oil residue? Try wiping a few with vinegar before you add the label.

ChrisR
I always wipe down the tin with alcohol before labeling.
Kitn
I use alcohol too.
B@BlissStreet
Agree with either alcohol, or an ammonia based window cleaner wipe down. Also, I "warm" up the back sides of the labels a bit by rubbing my hands over them; it seems to make the adhesive stick better. HTH
Judy, USMC
I had the same problem with labels that wouldn't stick to my Elipso cups. Wiped with lighter fluid and that didn't help. Then I realized that I was using different labels. I had just purchased the Avery's but in the past I was using the less expensive store brand. Once I started using the store brand again the problem went away. I don't have the package in front of me but it was either Staples or Office Max.
