KrazeKelly
I made my first double layer soap cake this past weekend. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how long to wait before cutting it?? It's a 10lb cake so I figured at least a week?ThanksKelly
Candybee
Are you talking about a soap made to look like a cake (as in round birthday cake) or a cake of soap as in log mold? If its the birthday cake type I never made one so can't help you there. Would love to see a pic of it thou. I expect that if it feels hard enough on the outside it should be ready. Are you going to cut out 'cake' slices like a birthday cake?

chuck_35550
I cut mine within a 48 hour period. Pour the layers set up for 24 hours and then frost and decorate and set up 24 hours. It's pretty dang dense by that point.Steve
