craftyinala
I am having a problem when I use the heat gun to level the tops of my container candles with the wax melting off the wick. How can I prevent this? TIA

Sallykate
I just make sure and keep to the edge of the container avoiding the wick. Sometimes I accidentaly get the wick but it burns just the same. hthSallykate
Tess
I dont think you can diminish the problem as long as you are using a heat gun. I used to do that, but decided that the time and trouble it took me to use the heat gun, I could have a done a repour in half the time, and had pretty wicks too. Mona
It doesn't matter if the wax is melted off the exposed wick. The reason for priming a wick is to force out the trapped air before you can use it and make a candle around it.

craftyinala
Does anyone know the website for the wick setter that was advertised on the right side of the board several weeks ago? I made a note of site and have misplaced it. I did a search and came with nothing. TIANote: Was trying to do a new post and as you can see I didn't know what I was doing and now I don't know how to cancel and do it right.
