kandlekrazy
Looking for ideas on what to do with fo that you no longer want or doesn't smell up to par anymore. I currently use wood shavings in cans to dispose of it.
chuck_35550
I make smelly jelly and give it to friends or in my own home. Basic rule #1: NEVER throw anything away! You can also buy that cheap potpouri at the dollar store and spritz the fo on it or even mix the fos. If its just plain nasty, keep doing what your doing.Steve
tam1116
You could put some in firestarters if you make them.
Scented
If you completely want to get rid of it, take it to your county shop. They should have a way of disposing of it.
Daisymay66
I have a ton of oils that I need to get rid of because it's old..I just never knew what to do with it. A lot of $ just wasted..that's for sure:angry2:
Scented
If you're sure it's gone bad (not all FOs do, regardless of age) then the safest way to dispose of would be through your county or city sites where they take hazardous chemicals. Darbla
I live in the country and burn all my paper trash to try to not add to the landfills anymore than I have to. Some people shred things with their addresses on it; burn it. Since these FOs are made to burn up anyway, is there any problen with adding them in the fire with the rest of the paper? moonshine
I don't know if that is okay but that is what my husband told me to do- pour it all over some old hay and wood he needs to burn in the fire pit- we live kinda in the country with 3-10 acre parcels around us If you think about it that's basically what we do when we make insence and I assume fire starters- I never made those beforeBut I am not sure if this would be good or not.....I have tons to ditch and the only place I can go is over an hour awayOur township only does a hazardous waste day once a year in the sunmer
Scented
As long as no animals are eating it and it is burned up, should be OK. But if there's a chance of feeding it to anything, no.
moonshine
No animals would be eating out of there - the hay is moldy straw so I don't think deer would even come near it....my husband feeds them fresh round bales way out backSo you don't think it would harm the air - people breathing it in- I envision it smelling like mambo incense pit! Lol of a nasty concoction of probably around 100 scents!
Scented
No I think it would be fine. Pretty much the flames are going to eat up everything, including any kind of scent you think there would be. I just wouldn't stand around it and make a practice of deeply inhaling it.
