I'm wanting to add 3% beeswax, so how many ounces of beeswax would I add?
Gypsyjen
First you should figure out what you want your total volume to be. For example, 16oz candle. If you are adding 1.5oz FO to this, your total wax volume would be 16-1.5 = 14.5oz wax. Multiply this X 3% to calculate the beeswax:14.5 X .03 = 0.436oz beeswax. Therefore, your amount of candlewax would be 14.5oz-0.436oz = 14.06ozYour candle components are:Candle wax = 14.1oz (rounded)Beeswax = 0.4ozFO = 1.5ozFor a total candle volume of 16oz.
