kfintoni
Good morning, I am not the best at thinking up new names. I need some suggestions on what to rename the Tinsel scent for the holidays and year round. I am thinking in my area a Tinsel named candle may not sell well. Thanks,Karen in MA
Candybee
A scent description would help.
kfintoni
Sorry it is a NG scent and I know a lot of people on the board use it. "pomegranate, strawberries, raspberries, with a subtle hint of fresh peppermint leaves and fresh vanilla". Thanks,Karen in MA
Guest OldGlory
I am really bad at naming things too, but I blend some berries/fruits and call it Winterberry. One of my sources used to sell a Winterberry too and it was nothing like mine. Seems that name might work for your FO.
moonshine
Does your town have a winter festival they put on every year? We have a huge one a couple hours away from us called Tip Up Town- so that is what I call my Tinsel and it's in my Mochigan collection because people from all over go to this weekend event
SuzyK
Tinsel is one of my very favorites! I used a tinsel scented soap this morning It's definitely an underrated fragrance. I have thought over the years that maybe a new name would help it sell but I've still kept it as tinsel. Winterberry is a great name for it. Though I wonder if people would expect a winterberry to be more piney or cranberryish?
Candybee
For some reason that description conjures up an image of the Tinkerbell winter or frost fairies. How about Frost Berries.
kfintoni
Candybee I like Frost Berries. I smell mostly mint when I was pouring it. I will see how well it sells. I have a vanilla mint that I have had since last winter. Mint just does not sell for me. Thanks,Karen in MA
Candybee
I can sell peppermint blends during the holidays but then they work better in palm than soy.
chuck_35550
Tinsel is a great Christmas fragrance,as well as any other time of the year. How about Sparkling Christmas Berry? and then change it up for winter to a frosted berry? I smell mostly Pom in this one but whatever, it sells really well during the holidays. I like the frosted berries or Winter berries name.Ohhh I like it. I tried doing an M&P layer in CP soap before. Yeah, it was a failure. LMAO Then I went to a friends house and we did one together and it was much better, but still not as pretty as yours!! Love it.
kfintoni
SuzyK that soap looks wonderful. I had it at a show this past weekend and asked a bunch of customers what they thought it should be named and no luck. I smell more mint than berries. I am going to have to keep thinking on this one. I hate the renaming thing, I am not good at it. It took me forever to come up with a name for Reindeer Poo for the rest of the year as I really liked the scent. Ive never tried this FO but thinking of trying it for the Christmas fund raiser at my sons school this year. Its a special needs school and the turnout is spectacular every year TIA ! It's the most rewarding job I've ever had! The kids give me so much more than I could ever give them. Absolutely love my job!
