Oceangazer1
I just got 25 lbs of this wax to test for melts mainly. The tops are bumpy. Is this normal as when I read thegreat reviews on the rustic essentials site, no said anything but smooth tops. I followed the temp directions TY
karinz40
I purchased 10 Lbs several months ago because I heard it was so good. I loved it! No bumps or lumps, I would use this as my tarts wax all of the time but the shipping to Az is quite high so I went to something else. Belinda
I've bought this wax several times at 50 lbs at a time and I really liked it also. It had bumps in whatever I used it in unless I added a different wax with it. I love it though, but like Karen, I switched to a different wax. I think bumps are pretty common with this wax. I recall reading on here somewhere where someone asked about bumps too. Customers won't care though as long as they have a good product! Oceangazer1
Thank you both so much! I wasn't expecting the bumps in the center, but they smell wonderful. I will see how they do in the burner and possibly add a touch more paraffin.
chuck_35550
I add a little of my parasoy to smooth it out and to soften just a little.
Oceangazer1
Thank you. I'm going to give that a whirl as soon as I can
CandleAddict_RN
I've been using this wax for my clamshells for over a year and love it. I didn't like that it didn't have smooth tops at first but it finally grew on me. Now I just say it gives it character. I only sell to co-workers, friends & family and not one has even mentioned the look. All they say is how much better they smell and last compared to store bought or even sce&n%y. FireSpire
Try pouring it a little cooler, around 145 F. Anytime I pour higher than that I get a bumpy top not too bad but noticeable to me. I now pour at 145 F if the wax starts to set up in my pouring pitcher I warm the outside with my heat gun until it can be poured again.
