happy_paws_haven
Hi all: Has anyone ever ordered from FancyCandleJars.com?Is it a reliable company? We really need 10 oz frosted Apothecary Jars and our supplier is out of them. Ordering from the "Jar Store" would cost us over $ 2.00 per jar with the shipping and that is just too much. sockmonkey
I love those frosted jars. I've never ordered from them, but I'm curious to know where they are located--something to consider when calculating shipping costs.
mystical_angel1219
Don't you know Google is your friend? The area code comes up Peoria, Illnois. I am wondering if those status jar come with lids. Haven't seen the frosted ones in a while. Thanks for sharing the link.
quietgirl2004
Oh Dang Mystical, now why did you have to say Peoria, IL. Thats about 2 hours or less from me. Now I gotta check it out. Decent prices. Thanks for the link
bugtussle
The metro jars aren't the status jars. I think they are the imported ones. The bottom isn't thick like the status. Robert at Taylored also carries them.

quietgirl2004
Hey Paulette, wonder if they would let us pick them up!
happy_paws_haven
Hi:Well Fancy Jars service is excellent. We left a message and they called back the next day. We received our order within 3 days. They do however only carry the thinner glass jars. For us it was worth the cost of s/h, as we live in AL. As mentioned, if we had ordered from the Jar store, with s/h the cost per jar would have been over $ 2.00. Just wanted to update you. clonefan80
Just saw on another board where EBCandles met with him this past weekend, pm her and ask about the jars...
ebcandles
I took a ride out there yesterday and met with Ron and his wife. He is a very sweet man. We talked for about an hour at his shop/warehouse. I would have to agree, the jars are not as thick as the libby jars. I bought 2 cases of the 8oz metro jars and now that I am really examining them, they dont look exactly the same. But for the price, you can beat it!!They are located in Niles IL. quietgirl2004
Will they work tho Carmen? Strong enough for candles and look decent?
ebcandles
He uses them himself with soy wax and they look great. I bought a case and will start testing tomorrow.
Jeana
The price is really great for the jars but the cost for me to have two cases shipped would be $40. That is really outrageous.
KristinesShower
Hey Carmen - where is Niles? I know you aren't too far from me, but the Dish went down and I can't tell if you seen my post about getting some jars & meeting for lunch? Since I would be closer, then you wouldn't have to drive that far - oh yeah, then we can meet for LUNCH lolLet me know - I am really looking forward to checking them out next time I go to Peoria. cmspath
I live on the wrong side of the country - all the fun and good stuff happens on the east coast.. :rolleyes2
jwahlton
I got samples of these yesterday and at the same time someone sent me the libby Status jars too. The Libby jars are much sturdier, thicker glass and base. Fancy's jars are thinner, you can feel it when you hold it. However I do think that it would be OK for candles. It feels sort of like the roly poly's thickness to compare. I hope to test all of these over the weekend. BTW, Fancy has a frosted one too that is beautiful
