also get a proper candle spray release. Beeswax mixes with vegetable oil to create a sticky salve

I was hoping to avoid chemicals in the candles... would you know of any natural substitute to this release spray?

Not really. The silicone release spray is used so lightly that it (to me) is a non-issue.

The only other alternative is to invest in smooth silicone molds that release a little easier. Though, my smooth and intricate silicone molds still need release spray.

Thanks (again!) TallTayl

How do you get beeswax off a glass jar? I've tried boiling, disk soap, lighter fluid, nothing works; it just leaves a waxy residue.

My daughter makes lipsticks and getting lipstick off any surface is a royal PIA.  She discovered that using a dry Mr. Clean "magic eraser" cleaning sponge seems to get if off any surface she has tried, including the porcelain stove top.

Thanks ChefMom, will add that to the list of solvents to try.  :-)
