Brenda
Edited to replace my longer post with this simple question: If a bar of soap is sold $4.00 retail, what would be a fair price to charge a private label reseller?Thank you! Brenda
:bump: Sorry to bump this up, but I simplified my question. Can anyone offer me advice? I'd be ever so greatful!
cindym
You sell it for 4.00 or she already is selling for 4.00? Your wholesale price should be at least 2 x's your cost and then tack on your cost for packaging. My wholesale prices for soaps a different for different customers, I charge anywhere from 2.50 to 3.00 depending on my costs, and the type of store, mor expensive for the high end stores with more expensive ingredient's . Brenda
Thanks, CindyM, for answering my question! The four dollars would have been what I currently would sell if for on my website. I do not know what amount it would be sold for as a private label soap. I have never done any wholesale/private label selling yet because I'm so new to the whole soapmaking venture!I appreciate your reply!
