maecan
I received my last batch of 464 from Candlescience and the box looked like it got jumped by 10 other boxes in the UPS truck. I sort of knew the contents might be compromised but I have candles to make! So i chanced it and filled my wax melter and sure enough there was a lot of dirt and cardboard bits floating around. Way too many to try and use the wax so I had to drain and dump it. No fun. I had another box from a previous order that was sealed nicely so after I cleaned out the melter I started over and everything was fine. Used all that up and opened another box from the same delivery as the poor beat up guy. But this box was sealed and looked fine-- so crossing fingers.... Now the pot once again has brown sludge and cardboard. I just cleaned the pot really well one load ago so its not old burned up wax-- this is a fresh pot with a fresh batch. I am starting to feel crazy emailing Candlescience and complaining and although I have been doing this awhile Im wondering could it *possibly* be me? Am I somehow adding dirt to my wax? Anyone else have this experience? I attached an example from the pouring pitcher, my pot has 100x this amount.
