Tara
Has anyone seen this? or better yet has any one tried one? To me, it just doesn't look safe but that's just my opinion. I guess you just plug it in and it uses a 15 watt bulb. But what happens if it accidently gets bumped and the wax spills? Just curious as to what others think about this. gerrie
Wow, that's a new one to me. Where did you see that at? Not sure I like that, wonder how well a 15 watt bulb works in that, and like you say, is that even safe
Tara
Levine's is carrying it. I guess it would be ok for a higher up plug like in the kitchen or bathroom but still.
nbkfdu4
It's new ...Levines just started carrying them this month.......
Luvcandletarts2
I wouldn't want one, one bump and wax on the floor/carpet. You know how some prongs don't stay plugged in completely? Easily tipped over. What if a power surge or sparks, too much of a chance of fire, JMO.
sockmonkey
Worse yet, what's to keep a pet or small child from getting into it or even eating it?
Guest EMercier
Yea, I have a few issues with that. The kids, the pets, and all other stuff like that. It's a cute idea, but too many hazards.
Trish
Wow! That surprises me... I like the "idea" behind it, but it's too much of a hazard for me.
BizzyBs
I just ordered some...I've heard potential customers saying they would love to have one, as they saw them for sale on tartburners.com (levines retail site). This would be great for someone to keep in there bathroom or in the kitchen outlets that are near the counter.
Tara
I would love to hear how well they liked them and what they thought of them
Linnyeg
I dont really see a problem with it, I think a regular tart burner would be more likely to be bumped on a table, than that would! I would only use it in a bathroom or kitchen outlet though, I just wouldnt want it close to the ground, think it would look weird down there haha! For those people worried about pets or kids, what about when you have a tart burner on a table? I would think the risk level would be pretty similar. The ladies I heard talking about this said they thought it was the cutest idea and that they all thought it would work perfect in their bathrooms and kitchens. Especially in their bathrooms, as they said it would get it up off of the counter space. The only negative thing they said was that some people have outlets that are horizontal...(these people must live in really old houses?)Anyway...I'm excited to get them (may even have to use one for myself!) Bev
I've never seen those before. I would probably use one but only in my kitchen outlets up by the countertop. My bathroom outlets are too close to the sink and could get bumped pretty easily.
sockmonkey
Another danger in it I see, is that if it should get yanked out of the wall and the tart has melted and is still in liquid form, you could run the risk of having it spill on the prong and be electrocuted. Tara
Well I may just order some and test them out.
