BizzyBs
Looking for something "different" for a jar (for my chunk candles). Something not so specific to a type or style, like the "country" style I use now...more universal. What do you all think of these?I could leave the jar with no label and just add one to the lid. (plus the warning on the bottom). What 'cha think??EDITED TO ADD: I've decided to go with the hex...since I have them in stock already and have tested quite a few scents out already... mystical_angel1219
Those would look nice with your country theme and chunkies.I like the idea of the label on the top to show the texture. I personally would go with a gold or silver closure myself.
BizzyBs
Darn...these only come with white lids...maybe something else then? Maybe a hex?
Synascents
Hello!I just switched over to those jars...~*switching my entire website over to prim*~And I did get those jars at WSP and they do have the gold lids!
BizzyBs
So, you used those jars for prim? I'm thinking I want something a little less "country/prim" and more universal.
foxhill
I use the 4 oz. jars like the ones you show and I get silver lids for them from WSP. I use a crystal clear 2x4 label on the front and it looks really nice.
BizzyBs
The place I would get them from is within driving distance and they come with white lids. Here's what it could look like...what 'cha think?Or do you think this still looks "country/prim"? Any ideas??
Synascents
Yep for primI use a certain label and decorThose look nice as they are! Love the looks of it!

BizzyBs
Dang it...do you think it would look better with a white label? Or would that be too stark?
lindsaycb
I don't mind it at all with the white lid. But yep, I'd change from a kraft label. White or clear labels coordinating colors with your chunksOr doing a very thin cigar wrap label on the bottom (or top) edge would be neat & not as offensive as a big label on the front of your candle
erikatx
Maybe with an aluminum lid (if there is) and a shiny white label... I like those jars, I've been thinking of adding them as well.
BizzyBs
Here it is with the white label...Is this better? Not so "country/prim"?
Monica
Hey Beckie!I like the jar..but it still looks country to me...since I "think" you are talking about buying at Mid Con..how about their Victorian Jar? I got a case to try(a wholesale customer request for a "squarish" jar last time I ordered...I love em..very pretty..elegant and you could still label just the lid! BizzyBs
Ya...I think you are right Monica. I just took a peek at prices for Mid-Con on those Victorian ones...was really surprised at the price...much cheaper than I thought? So......you don't think the victorians would look "country"? Monica
I made mine with a white glossy lid on the top and I think it looks classic..especially if you go with more color in the chunks and candles. They show off color especially well and are very pretty when burning! I have used the craft labels on these jars too and they look fine, but I prefer the white or you could even get the newer buff colored ones! Good luck deciding! sockmonkey
I hate to say it, but I'm gonna be honest...I think they look blah.Could you dress the jar up some buy adding a ribbon maybe? I prefer the victorian jar that someone else posted. I'm just speaking as a consumer--I don't make candles. The plain jar just doesn't have as much eye appeal to me. BizzyBs
I LOVE honesty! How about a hex, instead? I don't want to add anything to the jar...am going to add a label on the lid...just going to let the chunks show through...they are nicer to look at than a label. Scented
I think it looks fine. White label goes with white lid. Ties it together IMO. I think you can make that jar look any way you want it too. I don't view it so much as prim or even country, but with certain things you can do that.Adding, cuz I didn't see the hex, I think that jar is classier. BizzyBs
Now that I've been playing with what it would look like in different jars...I think I like the hex the best. I can get a 9 oz and a 4 oz squat hex...now to go get them. Thanks everyone for all of your input...if you'd like to comment on the hex...let me know! sockmonkey
The new jar looks wonderful! If I were you I would probably go with a clear label so that you get the most impact from the gold lid. It definitely doesn't look prim, and I think it's suitable for any decor. I think your candle really has a "WOW" factor in that jar!
BizzyBs
Thanks...I appreciate the comments! I haven't decided whether I will use a clear label yet or maybe a buff/cream. Lots of thinking to do...

IMO - I don't like that jar because that is the jar H.I. uses. If I sold that jar, my customers would say Oh, so now your selling H.I. BizzyBs
Yes...but, I make chunk candles...much different than H.I....right?
