dayglow
I made this by whipping the wax and adding the colored sand as I went and then took a fork and pulled the sides away and added more sand. After it was out of the mold, I used my heat gun and added yellow glitter. Yuk! Just not the right colors, or something. Next time will be with just the wax, no color and then the sand. AngelaVA
Interesting though, lol. Looks like you mixed up the yellow and green playdough. It's a neat idea though - love to see your next creation!
Scented
I wanna see this burn lol. I don't get putting sand into wax, but since you did can we see it through stages of burning?
Pam W
I too am curious how it will burn - whatta ya do about the sand in the mp?
ausimex
I have to agree, that one is pretty ugly...lol. I'm sure with different colors it would be nicer though!
LRC06301983
its not ugly, you just aren't picturing it in the right setting. Its a theme candle.Looks like something that would be pulled out of the sea after 100 years burried in its depths. Like its deep ocean with seaweed and gold and mermaids etc...Its a theme candle.okay and its a little ugly. loljust kidding.
dayglow
I already melted it down. It was just too ugly!!
Scented
For shame. I would have loved to know what happened with the sand like if the wax seeps out or if the sand breaks free and clogs the wick. Maybe if you do another you can let us know
sharyl55
My Momma always told me "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything." Taking Mom's advise.
eugenia
I already melted it down. It was just too ugly!!No arguments here!
Carrie
Why did you put sand in the candle. I guess I've missed something or a post somewhere. I've never heard of this. I've heard of making a sand candle in the sand, but never adding sand to a candle.
dixylight
I think my grandmother had shag carpet with those colors in it. I'd like to see how it burns too!
Mitch23
Awww, that would have been a wonderful candle for Mardi Gras!!! A row of purple feathers or gems around the bottom would have made it perfect...Mitch

candlesprite7
I think it's a neat concept, definitely burn the next one you make to see how it goes....I'm all for putting different things in candles.
Mtngrl
It wasn't *that* ugly. Actually, I thought it looked kinda interesting. It's good to experiment, to see what happens. Even if it turns out to be a bad idea, it could led to a better one. You just never know.
