square pillar ?

Recommended Posts

I have been trying to wick a 3" square pillar. It's made of 4625. I have tried flat braid wick in the 24, 27, 30, 36 and recently stuck a 45 in the thing just to see what it does. I can't seem to find a wick that doesn't blow out the sides @1" down. Is it possible to wick these molds to have a nice burning candle that doesn't blow out or leave a big shell?

I make the square pillar and I use the 24ply flat braid,,,I use the 4625 and they burn fine,,,It is very important to do relief holes,,I have not had a square pillar blow out on me,,,I also hug my squares just like I hug my rounds just a wee bit different,,,
