Candlewitch
2/3 of a ounce is about $8.00? How many bath bombs would that make? My wife is doing this so dont think i am.
Spellkast
2/3 of an ounce is EIGHT DOLLARS?!?! Either those calculations are WAY off, or you guys are using liquid gold in your formulation! What is your wife using in her recipe? It doesn't cost me $8 for a small batch that makes 5 4 oz. bombs. I'd rethink that recipe or do some different calculations and get back to us. RobinInOR
What exactly is costing $8, the dye you want to use in the bath bombs? Liquid or powder, what kind of dye is it?Most liquid dyes are FD&C dyes - if they are concentrated it only takes a few drops in a batch to color. If they're diluted (like what you find in food coloring) it takes a lot more. Usually the FDC dyes I see are around $4-5/oz..
Candlewitch
So it was a liquid dye but i think even strong, its toomuch to pay.
Carrie
The lab colors? They are expensive. They are very concentrated and you measure by the drop. A little goes a long way
Spellkast
Ohhh, I see... It was late at night- and I didn't read the thread title well enough, I guess!!! Glad it's not costing you $8 per ounce to make them!
