I thought we were suppose to get our soaps as close to neutral pH as possible but someone told me that is not true and that a pH of 9.5 to 10 is desirable. Which is it? RobinInOR Posted March 10, 2006 Share Posted March 10, 2006 It's just about impossible to get soap down to a pH like that without going synthetic. Soap averages around 10 and 10.5.
