Grannyscandles
So how do you make these?
Carrie
Are you a member at the Dish. It is back up now and has tons of information. Also, there was just a thread about this here on CT within the last week. You may want to search the soap section using the word salt bar or something similar. jenniejr
The recipe I was given is: Equal parts of Olive Oil and Un-iodized Salt. How much depends on how big a batch you want. Then just go to the soap calc. to figure out your lye/water amount. I made them and they are wonderful! hth

maryann
Can I use fine European Salts or DDS??
Sherie
I used dead sea salts in mine and I didn't have any problems with slim. They do cure pretty fast. I think mine were cut within 1 1/2 hours. If your using a Kelsei, make sure you line the bottom. If your doing it in a log, the log will still be pretty warm when you cut it. If you wait too long, it will be like cutting cement. Good Luck!!!!
