MichelleOH
I used mica for colorant and I mixed it with glycerin. (made this CP last night) I checked on my soap and some of the glycerin is sitting on top of the soap:eek: What should I do?
ebcandles
You sure its glycerin and not the FO itself? Give it a few hours and maybe it will soak back in.
MichelleOH
I am pretty sure it's glycerin. I touched it and smelled it and it doesn't really smell:confused: It's scented Blackberry Sage.
ebcandles
Ah, one of my favorite scents. Give it a few hours or maybe an entire day. If it doesnt soak back in, you might have to rebatch:(
MichelleOH
Yea:confused: With this particular recipe I usually wait 48 hours to unmold because it tends to be on the softer side. I tried to take some off with paper towels, but can't get all of it. Now I'm going to have to read up on rebatching. I've never had to do that:eek:
ebcandles
Ah, just send it to me. I've been liking it recently. I now actually make soap to shred and rebatch. I like the confetti soap:p
MichelleOH
LOL:D Do you do your in the:Doven or crockpot or microwave? And do you add anything to yours...more FO, water? Help:eek:
ebcandles
What i've been doing lately is confetti. Just shred up the soap and then add the shreds to a white overpour (unscented). I like that look much better than the rebatch. What i use to do is shred the soap, add a little water or milk, then nuke it in the micro until it reached the mashed potato stage. Take it out, mix it up a bit and plop back into the mold. I really dont like the way this method works so id rather do the confetti.
