elitenaildesign
I was looking at the chemistry store to order lye. Is there somewhere else that has better prices on oils and with a bigger selection?
wildangel112
I get a lot of my oils from onederbar.com. Fast shipping and great customer service .
mystical_angel1219
My favorite place is Oils By Nature. However, they do not sell lye. Here is a good link for you:http://soaperindex.tayon.com/
Crafty1_AJ
You have to buy in bulk, but Columbus Foods has good prices on oils & butters for soapers. Maybe you can split with a soaper friend if you don't want so much?

cmille3
Another vote for Columbus Foods! The small size (7#) sounds like a lot but once you get going, it's really not.You can also try MMS (www.thesage.com).
mountainmadness
I think that it really depends on where you live.... Most of my oils I purchase in bulk from a local food supplier because shipping kills me!
Scent Cellar
I order most of my main oils from Columbus Foods and some specialty oils/butters from other sources. I feel I am lucky to have someone to split the Columbus Foods orders with as you can't beat their prices and service.
stacien
Jennie, I did get some of my oils at Costco and Sam's Club. I don't know what they have in Nebraska. I found Soybean Oil, Vegetable shortning, and Olive oil. But I got my Lye at Home Depot. It was labeled Sodium Hydroxide and Drain cleaner instead of Lye. So I didn't have to order it. The only oils I had to order were the palm oil and coconut oil. But it saved me a lot on olive oil because that is the expensive one. If this info helps any. Carrie
Coconut oil can be found at Walmart. In my store it is just to the left of the liquid cooking oils.
