Q: Does the Skcandle hurt when you put it on?

A: Unless you put your finger or other body part directly in the flame, the Skcandle is ouch less and actually feels quite nice. By using cosmetic grade soy oil rather than traditional waxes, such as paraffin or beeswax, we are able to offer a candle in which amounts of the safe, comfortable, and warmed oil can be directly massaged into the skin , leaving the skin smooth, soft, and pleasantly scented. Hypo-Allergenic.

Q: How do you wear a Skcandle?

A: Simply light the Skcandle and within a few minutes you'll have lotion ready to be used. Then, extinguish the flame and dip your fingers in the liquid or use the Skcandle Spoon enclosed in the lid. You may also pour small quantities of the liquid out of the container. When done, allow the candle to cool..the liquid will re-congeal to a solid state permitting additional applications.

HELPFUL HINT: If you’d like to quickly liquefy your Skcandle to use as a skin quenching massage, simple scoop out a couple teaspoons of the candle and place in a microwave safe container. Heat for 20-30 seconds. Times may vary depending on the container and type of microwave you are using. Always touch test before using. (Never allow the liquid to boil!)

Interesting. Looks better than the usual ones that use soy wax. PKO, hydrogenated soy, jojoba, vit e. No color. At least she isn't marketing a soy wax candle as lotion (wax is *not* lotion no matter what), she's marketing it as an oil. She sounds like she knows what she's doing, and using all body safe ingredients. This is one of the very few ones that I've seen that "does it right".

I'd like to see the label, to see if she got it right :) As long as they're done with all cosmetic legal requirements covered (most aren't, most are done by chandlers that don't know anything about FDA requirements)

For what it's worth - I made a container candle once out of palm and PKO and coconut oils. Firmed up nicely. Burned it, turned liquidy very fast. And it never hardened up again, stayed slushy and mushy so it was a mess.
